Chapter 41

2 YEARS LATER
"Angel you're up next" Michael says, I give him a nod and look over at my phone "still waiting for him to call you?" Venom asks "always" I reply

A lot has happened during these two years, Steve and I started dating until our jobs got in the way. With me going on tour and him going on missions we never had time together so we thought it would be better to just break up, we talk from time to time just like I do with the rest of the avengers. My career only grew as did my relationship with my sisters. Steve got mad at me for some stupid rumour about me dating another singer and hasn't been speaking to me. I told Mr Stark I would still be here for the most important missions

When my phone doesn't ring, I take a deep breath and walk up on stage "HELLO PARIS" I yell into the microphone earning a loud cheer back "shall we get this show started?" I say excitedly

(A/N: there will be some songs when she is up on stage where I will put the song and who it's by but let's pretend it's one of her original songs)

Third person POV:

"SHES ON AGAIN" Peter yells from the living room, Natasha, Yelena, Steve and Wanda all come running in making sure not to miss it out. Peter turns up the volume "Hello Paris" Angelina yells into the microphone and the crowd goes wild "shall we get this show started?" She asks excited, she winks over at the band who begin to play (song : I miss you by Julia Michaels and Clean Bandit). "You broke up?" Wanda asks in shock "yeah" Steve replies, they're all looking at him in shock "I thought things were good between you two" Natasha asks "it is, things are fine" Steve lies "doesn't seem that way" Peter adds "we only broke up because things got in the way" Steve replies

"It doesn't surprise me" Wanda adds "what?" Steve asks "I am sorry to say this, she loved you, she did. But Bucky was her epic love, her first real love and the only closure she got was from a letter. He left her and then she had to force herself to move on, luckily you were there. Her love for you kept her going" Wanda explains, Steve sighs and shakes his head "we have an emergency" Bruce yells while running through the door "is that Angelina?" He asks looking at the TV "yes that's Angel, what's the emergency?" Yelena asks "we're getting invaded by this titan called Thanos, he's got these stones that makes him powerful. He wants to wipe out half of all creatures on this planet, he has almost all of them, except for three and two of those are on earth" Bruce explains

"We gotta call Angel" Natasha adds "I'll do it" Mr Stark adds

Angelina's POV

"Unfortunately this is my last song of the tour" I say into the microphone warning a few "awws" from the crowd "I wanted to thank all of you for this amazing opportunity, it's been an amazing tour and I can't wait to start this new tour when my new album comes out" I say happily "let's finish this off" I say with a smile as I begin to sing (song: ruin my life by Zara Larsson)

After the song at look at the large crowd in front of me "I will see you soon Paris" I yell before running out "you have a interview in 10" Michael says, I get changed into a suit before the hairdressers pull my hair up into a slicked back ponytail. I walk into the interview room "nice to meet you Angel, I am Natalie" the interviewer says and I smile "it's lovely to meet you Natalie" I say shaking her hand before sitting back on the chair, I cross my legs and smile at the camera as it turns on "You want to introduce yourself, even though we all already know who you are?" Natalie says with a laugh "I am Angel Romanoff, singer and songwriter" I say with a smile

"You were previously part of the Avengers correct?" Natalie asks "that's right" I reply "that is a big career change, do you ever miss it?" She asks "well it was always a different adventure when I was out there, which isn't too different from touring really. But sometimes I do find myself missing the adrenaline of being out in the field ensuring the protection of this world" I say "but I love what I do, being a singer was a dream i didn't know I had" I say with a smile "and we are aware that your songs are written from personal experiences" Natalie says and I nod "As you also know, it's gotten out that you were dating Captain America and you also dated another unknown member of the team" Natalie says and I nod once again "can we know which song is about who?" Natalie asks and I let out a small laugh

"I guess I'm going to leave that one up to speculation" I reply with a wink "I can't give up all of my secrets so easily" I add "does that mean we won't ever find out what your power is?" She asks "it's me" Venom adds and I just shrug at her "maybe one day" I reply "there has been recent rumours about you being locked up and then thrown in an asylum" Natalie says, I let out another laugh "there are a lot of rumours about me out there Natalie, things come and go all the time. There is no stopping that doing what I do, I have learnt to just ignore the trolls, I am not here for their amusement" I reply "she's not wrong" Venom adds but I ignore him

An hour later I am finally in the plane waiting to take off when a name I haven't seen in over a year shows up on the my phone. I instantly pick up "Unexpected call Mr Stark" I say "wasn't sure when to call you Angel, you have a very busy schedule" Mr Stark says with a laugh "yeah well world tours aren't as easy as they seem" I reply "but you didn't call me to talk about my schedule" I say "I wasn't sure if I should call" Mr Stark says "there's a reason I kept this phone number Mr Stark, despite what I do now I will always be an avenger" I say "I am glad you said that, we need you over here" Mr Stark says

"I'm on my way"
