Chaeyoung blinked her eyes trying to adjust them to the sunlight. With a blurry vision, she tried to look at the figure sitting next to her and was finally able to know who it was.
"You're the least expected person I thought I'd find when I wake up" Chaeyoung said in a weak voice.
"you're as tough as rock even after six-hour-surgery" Hajoon said "How are you feeling?"
"I feel like I came back to life again" Chaeyoung tried to smile.
"you must've been a good person. You were given a kidney on a silver platter"
"Hajoon-shi!" Chaeyoung called "Can I ask you a favour?"
"of course"
"Can you look into the donor? I want to know who it is" Chaeyoung asked.
"I've already tried but no use, they said it's patient's confidentiality"
"I feel bad that I'm being healthy thanks to them but I can't even thank them"
"don't worry about it" Hajoon smiled "we'll find them sooner or later"
"Chaeyoung-ah! You're up" Jeongyeon and Nayeon rashes in.
"I'll leave you with your friends" Hajoon said"call me if you need anything"
Hajoon left Chaeyoung with the girls who were sick worried about her. They were delighted that Chaeyoung overcame the pain but deep inside Chaeyoung was bothered. Who is it? Who could donate their kidney without asking for anything in return.
Chaeyoung's thoughts were interrupted by Jeongyeon's tense voice that alarmed Chaeyoung.
"What's wrong unnie?" Chaeyoung asked.
"If ever Jihyo comes to see you call someone don't stay alone with her okay?" Jeongyeon said
"Why? What happened?"
"She tried to stop the transplant. She didn't want you to heal" Nayeon said.
"Stop joking around. It's not even funny" Chaeyoung chuckled then when she looked carefully at the girls she understood that they were serious "w-why would she do that?" Chaeyoung spoke with pain
Nayeon told the whole story and how she was hysteric about Chaeyoung and Suga's marriage. Chaeyoung couldn't believe her ears, she couldn't believe that her friend and teammate tried to harm her. With a heavy heart, Chaeyoung laid back and spoke trying to change the topic.
"Where is that bastard?" Chaeyoung raised her voice "I almost died why didn't he show up?"
"Dowan said he'll find him meanwhile you have to take care of yourself okay"
