CURIOSITY — THE LUST OF THE mind, a distinctive human trait. People crave to know and understand more about subjects that pique their interest, it helps them acquire new information and strengthen their knowledge, simultaneously boosting confidence and diminishing uncertainty. And, though the desire to explore the unknown can also lead people into sometimes hazardous circumstances, the need to question unfamiliar things is deeply ingrained in everybody.

Ava had forever been profoundly curious. Though she was never truly sure why she was constantly intrigued by the unknown, Ava did know that being on Earth made it incredibly difficult to not investigate the beautifully vast unknown that she had been presented with. Ava had of course explored a lot since landing down here, but the path she and Bellamy had taken to the bunker was yet to be investigated considering they didn't have the time (or patience, in Bellamy's case) to sightsee on their departure to the depot.

So, much to Bellamy's dismay, Ava frequently found herself wandering off on their return trip to camp, inspecting things such as fallen acorns and flowering blossoms (along with the occasional dead rodent popping up here and there). Maybe she could stop at her safe haven on the way? Ava really needed to wash away all the grime that had accumulated across her body over these past few days.
