"This all you do?" he asked me as he sat on the bed and watched me fold.
"What?"
"You come here and clean. That's it? You don't go out anywhere or nothin'?"
"No, not really. I don't have anything to do."
"You don't go shoppin' or whatever like normal women your age?"
"No, I don't really like it." I didn't want to bring up how I usually didn't have the funds to go shopping so casually.
"You don't like the mall?" he questioned.
I shook my head.
He scoffed. "Weirdo. What you do then?"
"Sit at home until it's time for this."
"Mm. You need to get out more," he observed.
"Yea. What do you do?" I asked.
"You don't need to know that."
I looked at him.
"What?" he snickered.
"Is what you do illegal?"
"Damn, why was that your first assumption?"
"I'm sorry..."
"Nah, you right." he laughed.
"Oh..."

I think I figured it out.

I looked at him in shock.

"What now?" he asked.
"Are you a drug dealer?" I whispered.
"No, I'm a bounty hunter." he whispered back to mock me.
I glared at him.
"I'm fuckin' joking. Relaaax...!"
I didn't respond and just went back to folding.

"You gotta do more stuff. See more people." he stated.
"Why?" I asked and picked up a shirt to fold.
"Because you need to have a life that doesn't revolve around cleanin' up after people." He yanked the shirt out of my hand.

I looked at him then grabbed another and folded it.

He snatched that one as well. "Go somewhere with me."
"When?" I wondered.
"Right now."
"I'm working."
"It ain't goin' anywhere." he argued.
"Yes, unless I clean it like I'm supposed to."

He sucked his teeth and I picked up another item of clothing.

He took it.

"Come on." he commanded.
"Can you please stop doing that?" I asked and picked up a pair of shorts.
"Not until you come with me." He snatched it too.
I sighed. "Where?"
"I don't know."
"Then why are you so adamant on it if you don't even know where we're going?!" I snapped.
"Chill. It's a surprise. Let's go."

He tossed all of the things he'd taken from me onto the bed then got up and walked towards the door.
I took a deep breath before getting up and following.

~~~
We were in Isaiah's car in the middle of the night.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Well, I gotta do somethin' real quick and we're gonna visit some people I know. Then I'm takin' you somewhere I like. All of that goin' down back home though."
"Then why did we leave your house?"
"Not there. I mean Westdale."
My chest fell.
"Do I really have to go?" I asked.
"You already in the car."
"But I didn't know that was where you were going."
"Chill, nothin's gonna happen to you while you with me. And it really ain't that scary."
"That's easy for you to say. You're from there."
"Relax, bunny. I got you."
I sighed and looked out of the window.
The car was parallel parked but it was on a fairly busy street. A bunch of people were outside having conversations, smoking, laughing, and drinking casually. It was dark obviously and everyone was lit by the street lights.
"I'll be back." Isaiah promised and stepped out of the car.
I sunk into my seat.
He walked around the car with a smile on his face as his friends greeted him eagerly. They slapped their hands together before pulling each other into a hug and hitting one another on the back.
I just sat there as they all spoke next to the car. I didn't even know what to do.
I pulled out my phone and began playing a game as the time passed.
There was a knock on my window and I looked.
Someone was looking through it and at me but like they were trying to see if anyone was in it. Probably because of the tinted windows. I looked for Isaiah but he wasn't there.
They knocked again.
I rolled the window down.
"Hello...?" I said.
"What's up?" he smiled. "You Isaiah's girl?"
"No..."
"So you single?"
"Um..."
"Let me get to know you." he stated. I could see a few of his friends behind and watching.
"Where's Isaiah?" I asked him.
"He handlin' somethin' right now."
"Oh..."
"You not gonna give me your number?"
I looked back behind and recognized one of the guys. It was Marcus, Isaiah's friend that we ran into at the store a while ago.
"Yo!" called the guy in front of me again.
I looked back at him.
"What's up? You wanna talk to me or not?" he asked.
"No..."
He sucked his teeth and shooed me off as he walked away from the car. "You lame. Just missed out on a good opportunity. I'm really a good dude," he claimed.
I could finally see Isaiah coming back with a friend. They came out of an alleyway.
"Your friend boring as fuck, Zay." I watched the guy tell Isaiah.
"What you mean?" Isaiah asked.
"Man, she said she not your girl so I try to spit game and she just starin' at me."
That made me feel kind of bad.
Isaiah looked at me. He looked back at his friend and chuckled a bit before walking over to my window.
"How you even become friends with her? She don't talk." the friend stated.
Isaiah came and crouched down by my door. His car sat low and he was really tall so we were practically even height when he did it.
"What's up, babygirl?" he greeted.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
"I had some stuff to handle."
"Oh..."
"I'm almost done," he swore.
"Okay..."
"Would you be mad at me if I talked a few more minutes? Then we can go and do the other thing."
I shook my head.
"Don't lie to me." he snickered. "Be for real."
"I am..." I smiled a bit at the fact he didn't even believe me. "I'll just sit here, it's okay."
"Yea... You kinda cute, you know that?" he smiled.
"Stop it." I commanded.
He just chuckled and stood back up straight before turning back to his friends.
