Chapter 31

AT THE HOSPITAL, IN SARAH'S PRIVATE ROOM.

Sarah is awake. She was watching tv. She's waiting for Therese and Gerry. Her Papa is with her right now.

"Papa...wala pa ba sina Therese..? Anong oras sila pupunta dito?" I asked my father.

"Papunta na daw sila anak..." he said. Therese didn't tell him ahead of time that she has a surprise for them.

I smiled at my father. 

My heart is beating fast.

I don't know why.

I just feel like my heart is beating way too fast. I feel nervous. 

Bakit kaya? I asked myself. Bakit kaya na-late ng punta dito sina Therese.

"Okay lang ba sina Therese Papa?" nag-aalalang tanong nya sa kanyang papa.

"Oo anak, kumain muna sila, nagugutom daw kasi si Gerry eh.." 

Tumango sya at napangiti. Si Gerry. Ang kanyang bibo at magandang anak. 

She reminds her of Gerald, she looks so much like her Dad...especially her eyes. 

I sigh.

I hope to see him soon.

Sana naman Diyos ko. Just before I die, I pleaded to Him. Just before I die.

I will be happy if I can somehow complete my family.

I pleaded, HARD.

Then as if I am dreaming, I saw him...him, meaning Gerald. He walks in my room, like a vision. And then I smiled and said Gerald..
