11- Change of plans

Chapter 11

Thirty minutes after the discussion Shawn and I had a text rung off our phone informing us that the carnival will be cancelled due to the weather. I made my way to the living room turning on the news. The reporter was saying it was a 90% chance of thunderstorms and heavy winds so we should stay in doors. Shawn came running down the stairs with his jacket on and putting on his shoes.

"I hope you're not planning on going out there? They say it will be best if we stayed indoors Shawn." I informed him as he brushed me off like its no big deal.

"They always say that and nothing happens. Nothing is going to stop me from getting some of Teigen fine ass tonight. And besides I don't want to be here while you and Michael . . . you know what just forget it." He threw his hood on unlocking the door.

"Yeah, I don't think that will be happening tonight. I don't want him out too long and the storm will probably get worse like twenty minutes in." I explained switching the TV on mute.

Even though I wanted today to be all about Michael and I had to wait until another day. Maybe this was a sign telling me to wait on it wasn't meant to be today. I'm not much of a 'reading the signs' type person but this was one.

"Well at the end of the day I don't want you and Michael to seal the deal but it would be best if you have someone here with you instead of being alone." Shawn replied.

"I'll be fine. If it start to get a little creepy I'll just call Jessie over. But if you were so worried you would have stay with me." I fired back while Shawn just scratched the back his head.

"Now Stevie, I thought you understand how much tonight means to me," Shawn explained as I laughed. " I've been trying to get with Teigen for a while now." Shawn tried to make a puppy dog face and I wasn't falling for it.

"Shawn shut up you're spitting nothing but bullshit out your mouth." I laughed as he pouted like a kid.

"But being the nice sister I am, I won't force you to stay here. Go out and get some Eigen."

"Teigen, her name is Teigen and you know that." He laughed opening the door "I'll see you tomorrow, love you." He called out the door.

"Love you too and stay safe." I called out watching him make his way to his car.

"If something happen don't hesitate to call me, I mean it Stevie. Teigen's not more important than my sister safety." Shawn was standing half way in his car.

"I know Shawn. You better hurry and get there before the storm starts. It's already getting windy." The wind was making the trees blow backwards and forwards with so much force.

Shawn winked his eye before jumping in his car, "Got you."

I watched as Shawn headlight disappeared down the street.

I ran up to my room not before locking the door to change my clothes into something more comfortable. I settled on my grey Nike sweatpants and rain jacket. I put on my low top chucks and grabbed my keys off the dresser making my way to the door.

I type the security code on the door before exiting. I'll be going to call the Michael as I pulled the Jeep out of the driveway.

His phone went straight to voicemail after a couple of rings. I tried calling and it did the same as the first time. I wonder what he could be doing?

"Sweet Cravings." I say to myself before I stopped outside a Kroger. About ten minutes later I was back in the car with a bad full of snacks.

It started to rain little droplets as I was on my way to Michael's school to watch him practice.

I arrived within a couple of minutes and made my way to the football field. I sat on the bleachers in the front row watching the boys practice.

I look for number eighteen and spotted him dead on. He doesn't even know I'm here and I want to surprise him.

I looked around at the other people who decided to watch them practice. I noticed that there were more girls and boys that are was watching. Well duhh of course there will be more guys then girls.

While looking around my eyes stopped on one familiar face in the crowd. Alice. I wonder what she was doing here?

I started texting Jesse asking him has he talked to Alice lately. He responded back a second later saying Alice said she was busy today.

I never knew watching football players practice was a big deal. I continued watching them practice until the coach let them out early because of the weather.

I watch Michael as well as the rest of the team went to the showers. Everyone began leaving from the bleachers but I decided to stay.

Michael likes to take a while in the showers. I spent the next couple of minutes texting Jesse about the snacks I bought for us.

I came to the conclusion that I should just stay at Jesse house until the storm was over. I decided to go to the bathroom since I couldn't hold my bladder any longer.

Finishing up I redid the ponytail that was in my head and tried to take the extra pieces behind my ear(which failed miserably).

I walked out the bathroom and couldn't help but notice Alice and Michael talking in the hallway outside of the locker room.

I started walking toward them but came to a halt as they hugged each other.

"What the Fuck?" I asked myself and began walking faster over to them.
