We had removed our suits. Rogers, Dad and I were now sat in the main control room at the large table.

"These were in Coulsen's jacket." Fury started throwing down trading cards "Guess he never did get you to sign them. Rogers picked them up "We're dead in the air here. Our communications, the location of the cube. Banner, Thor, I got nothing for you. Lost my one good eye. Maybe I had that coming." Fury started moving around

"Yes, we going to build an arsenal with the tesseract. I never put all my chips on that though because I was playing something riskier. There was an idea, the Starks know this, called the avengers initiative." He stopped behind my chair.

"The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people to see if they could do something more. To see if they could work together if we needed the two to fight the battles we never could. Phil Coulson died still believing in that idea. In hero's." Dad stood up and left.

"Well it's an old fashion notion."

"We're not hero's." i state standing up and looking at them. Their attention turned to me. "Well we're not, we never sought to be. Two years ago my father was on a trip back when he was majority of the time a tool douchebag who had a soft spot for his only child. He was kidnapped by afghan insurgents who wanted him to make a copy of his latest weapon. He and another guy built the first Iron man. Dad escaped the other guy didn't. Us making suits is our way of not being in the positions we were in, then, for us and for other people. Helpless, alone and afraid. It doesn't make us hero's it makes us human." I walked away

I found dad standing where Banners cell once was. No words were exchanged I just wrapped my arms around him in a hug, he returned it kissing my head. I don't know how long we were stood like that for, but I heard heavy boots.

"Was he married?" it was Rogers

"No. There was a cellist, I think." Dad answered

"I'm sorry, he seemed like a good man." Rogers replied

"He was an idiot." Dad retorted pulling away from me. I sat down my legs hanging over the edge

"Why? For believing?" Rogers questioned

"For taking on Loki alone." Dad scoffed

"He was doing his job." the Cap reasoned

"He was out of his league. He should have waited. He should've..." Dad replied. I might not have made any difference. Those from Asgard have abilities we don't.

"Sometimes there's no way out Tony." Wow were won a first name basis now. Okay.

"Right, I've heard that before. Let's go, Reign." I stood up and went to follow Dad.

"Is this the first time you've lost a solider?" Dad turned sharply on the Cap.

"We are not soldiers." he snapped at him. I resets my hand on his chest in an attempt to calm him "We're not marching to Fury's fife."

"Neither am I. He's got the same blood on his hands that Loki does. But right now we gotta put it behind us and get things done. Now Loki needs a power source." I glanced down at the blood stain and I had a thought.

"He made it personal." I say out loud before fully finishing it. The two looked at me

"That's not the point." Rogers replies

"no, she's right. That is the point, that's Loki's point. Oh you are brilliant." he kissed my head again"He hit us right where we live. Why?"

"To tear us apart." Rogers and i spoke.

"Yeah, divide and conquer is great but he knows he has to take us out to win, right? That's what he wants. He wants to beat us and be seen doing it. He wants an audience."
