"Dinner is ready!"

The faint, unfamiliar voice of a woman yelling through the house is what woke me up. I picked my head up slowly and looked down to Camilo, seeing my hand gently rested on the side of his face as he slept peacefully. I made the block of ice on Camilo's back disappear before waking him up.

"Hey," I whispered softly as I moved my hand from his face to his back, rubbing it softly. "Camilooo, it's time to wake uuuup." I smiled. His eyes opened slowly and immediately made contact with mine. "Good morning, sleepyhead." I laughed softly. Camilo smiled and closed his eyes as he stretched.

"Does your back feel better?" I asked as I put the chair back at the desk. "Mhm, it's kinda cold though." Camilo mumbled as he stood and walked over to me, resting his head on my shoulder. "Hm, I wonder why." I stated, looking slightly down at Camilo. Camilo hummed as he stood up straight, grabbing my hand and leading me to the mirror.

Camilo jumped through first, then I followed after. Camilo smiled at me and grabbed my hand again, taking me to his door.

"You're going to love Tía Julieta's cooking." Camilo smiled at me as he dragged me down the stairs. I giggled and followed along, trying not to slip.

"So what's up with this house?" I asked as I looked around, seeing the tiles lifting up and the stairs flattening as a little boy slid down them. "Hi, Cami!" The boy smiled as he ran by, running into another room. "Oh, Casita? Well it's magic just like us. Our gifts come from the candle." Camilo stopped walking and turned around, pointing up at a candle in a window. "I see, and it doesn't burn out?" I asked as Camilo continued walked. "Nope, hasn't for 50 years." He smiled over at me as we walked into a dining room where the rest of the Madrigal's were sat. Immediately, all eyes were on us.

Camilo let go of my hand and waved at his family, grabbing my hand once more and leading me to the other side of the table. Camilo sat down next to a man and patted the empty seat next to him, smiling up at me. I sat down hesitantly, not liking all the attention on me. The boy who ran by Camilo and I popped up next to me, smiling at me. I smiled back as kindly as I could. I wasn't the best with little kids...

Or people in general.. moving on-

"Camilo? Introduce us to your new friend." Abuela smiled from the head of the table. Camilo smiled excitedly and nodded. "This is Y/n! She'll be staying with us for a while." Camilo introduced. "Are you new? I haven't seen you around before." A woman wearing a yellow dress with ginger hair questioned. "Oh, yes, I just got here yesterday." I smiled awkwardly. "Ohh, you're the girl I saw Camilo shape shifted as me carrying to the nursery this morning!" A pretty buff woman exclaimed, recognizing me. I looked to Camilo who just smiled at me.

So he's the one who found me..

"Let's all introduce ourselves," Abuela encouraged. "I'm Pepa, this is Félix, we're Camilo's parents." The woman in yellow smiled. I smiled back and looked around the table to see who would speak next. "I'm Antonio! Camilo's little brother." The little boy next to me exclaimed. "I'm Dolores, Camilo's sister." A woman across from me smiled. She had a very soft voice.

"I'm Camilo!" Camilo said excitedly as he looked at me. I looked over and suppressed a laugh by covering my mouth. Camilo's face turned slightly red as he smiled awkwardly, "You knew that though," He chuckled. I laughed and looked across the table to a girl wearing a lavender-pink dress. She was pretty.

"Isabella," She smiled at me. I nodded and looked to the girl next to her, the one who saw Camilo shape shifted as her. "I'm Luisa, we're Camilo's cousins." She nodded as she took a bite of her food. "Mg name is Julieta, this is Agustín, my husband." The woman who gave me a bunch of arepas smiled kindly at me. I smiled back.
