I woke up the next morning drowsy and ready to fall over at any moment, but I managed to drag my body out of bed and get ready for my final training session with Sasuke before I was accepted or rejected on the team.

I made it down to the clearing just as the sun finally won the battle with night. I prepared for an instant attack but nothing happened. I didn’t dare let my guard down. I walked myself to middle of the grounds and sat down. Minutes passed and yet no attack. I closed my eyes meditating taking in my surroundings, but felt no presence within my 50 meter radius. Hours passed and still no life.

I stood up irritated and went over everything I had learned within the past few days of training. A few more hours passed and I was finally fed up with waiting. “Screw this.” I mumbled and right then multiple people surrounded me. I recognized them. Two were my former teammates, Kiba and Shino. The other was my former crush Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke’s former teammate. The fourth enemy I was to engage with was of course none other than Sasuke himself. I smiled to myself.

“So this is my next test.” I state more than questioned. With my Byukugan activated I barely noticed the creeping shadow coming towards me from the trees. I jumped away only to have my ankle grabbed by a hand and thrown across the grounds to a faraway tree.

“Hey! Easy there Kiba!” Sasuke shouted holding up a hand. “I don’t want to be rushing her to the hospital again.” He said looking on at me with what looked like a hint of concern.

I stood up ready to fight, but to fight five strong men all at once seemed impossible. I got in a defensive stance knowing I’d be defending more than offending. They all attacked at once in a system one after the other. Teamwork was over the top. They’re bodies moved together as one as if they knew what the other was going to do before they did. I defended as best I could but I was still knocked down rolling a couple feet.

I got up again and took an offensive stance this time to switch it up. When I looked up all I saw was Sasuke. The others had disappeared. He ran at me with his chidori blazing in the palm of his hand. I ran towards him but as I did the others attacked.

I dodged best as I could and kept running forward. 50 yards, 40 yards, 30 yards, 20 yards, 10 yards. Darkness crept up behind me as I lessened the distance between Sasuke and I. 5 yards, 4 yards, 3 yards, 2 yards. I jumped straight in the air doing a flip landing behind Sasuke who had suddenly been caught in Shikamaru’s specialty, Shadow Possession Jutsu.

I grabbed a kunai out of my back pouch and wrapped it around Sasuke’s throat. “I win this time, Uchiha.” I said spitting out his name. But that was all a mistake. I let my guard down thinking if I take down the leader the others will fall apart. I was deathly and utterly wrong. There was no leader. Sure Sasuke played the part but in battle they all were the leader. I was blindsided.

Akamaru! I had almost forgotten about the giant dog that Kiba used to carry around in his coat. He charged me at my side with his head causing me to fly back against another tree with so much force the tree split and fell over.

“Akamaru! No!” I heard Kiba cry as my body crumbled and broke from the hit. The audible “crack” of multiple ribs fracturing echoed through the forest. I laid on the ground trying to catch my breath but my lungs wouldn’t suck in any oxygen. My left lung was punctured by one of my ribs.

“She’s a useless daughter. I’m just happy her mother died before she had the chance to see how Hinata has failed us.” Hiashi said to one of his counsel men.
