"You do?! Oh you have no idea how happy that makes me!"she exclaimed, joining her hands and shaking her head. "I've been struggling for weeks with my professor who says my drawings have got no artistic essence, which honestly hurts a little bit."
Yoongi smiled at that honest statement and nodded his head.
"I get it. My boss rarely ever agrees on my songs. He says a deaf dog could do better."
"Now that's rude."she frowned. "Wait you're a songwriter??? That's like, the dopest thing ever!!"
Yoongi chuckled at her enthusiasm, appreciating it.
"Well, trying to be."
"Omg, that's so cool! What kind of songs do you write? And do you struggle with inspiration as well or does it come flowing from the tip of your pen?"
The last question made him look at her once more, scanning her face and taking in the depth of her eyes already on him.
They're like the ocean. Deep and one can easily get lost in them.
He answered with a shake of the head, "No, it comes and go and sometimes it doesn't come for days which turns our to be quite frustrating. But I also produce songs so when I lack inspiration I go for the melody and composition itself."
Dawn nodded, highly interested before going on with another question. Yoongi patiently answered, animated, and inquired after her as well. They talked for longer then they would have thought they would, sharing their lives as artist, the pros and cons of being part of that world.
As it turned out, Dawn dreamed of showing off her own exhibition and specialize in photography. She showed some of her work to Yoongi who followed and looked through with much interest.
He liked the way her eyes sparkled and her face was animated when she talked about something she loved. He himself found comfort in sharing some of his dreams to her, dreams of becoming a renown producer and songwriter.
He even admitted that he loved rapping and chuckled when she suggested that he recorded his own mixtape.
"If you have the passion plus the talent you should most definitely go for it. I promise I'll listen to it!"
He laughed wholeheartedly, enjoying himself.
"Then I'll come to your exhibition."
"You'd better!"she teased, holding out her hand that he shook, sealing the promise.
It was a strange bond they had, two strangers in the train, randomly talking to each other and sharing their dreams and hope. Artist were fantasy people, and it was no surprise that they clicked so well.
Yoongi felt disappointed when her stop came and he barely had time to stop her from leaving, asking in a heartbeat.
"The song, what's the name of that song we listened to?"
Beaming at him, the young girl quickly answered, "the logical song."
"Thanks, see you."
"See ya!"she waved and left, her long skirt flowing with each step she made.
When Yoongi went home, a goofy smile had invaded his face and he picked up Plushy who meowed miserably and stroked her head gently, "I had a great day today Plushy, you know that?" Dropping a quick kiss on her fur, he let her go.
He went to bed and the first thing he did was add the Logical Song to his playlist, before putting it on. He smiled at the memory of the small hand grabbing on his own, and pulling him along to the seats.
