The Logical Song pt1

Start from the beginning

Back in his studio the memory of her smile kept popping up in his mind and his blockage on lyric-writing slowly vanished, inspiration suddenly flowing from the tip of his pen. A stranger in the train was now source of inspiration.

He'd never been into romantic themes or describing people but this time was different. Her eyes intrigued him and he felt the urge to know more, discover the story behind that look. Tapping his hand on the desk he hummed a melody he'd been working on, muttering the first lyrics.

Dawn...he whispered in his head, the poetic name making him picture clear skies and a rising sun just by mentioning it.

Little did he know a little further away, in a large art room, a blue eyed girl precisely scratched on her paper, careful with the details. The eyes were trickiest.

Now paint. Her brush slowly traced the features and filled the drawing with colors. She let out a breath, carefully choosing the colors for the eyes.

"All right I'll see you guys around!" Yoongi waved at the group of three friends shooting him friendly smiles and waving back.

"You sure you don't want to come have another drink somewhere else?"

"Yeah, I have work to do at home."he excused himself and thanked them again for offering before walking away under their apologetic looks.

Today had been pretty intense and his boss wanted him to submit at least three songs by the end of the week, which was a ton load of work and time. He'd managed to get on a great beginning and was now on his way home. He couldn't wait to go to bed and snuggle under the blanket.

He took out his headphones and just as he held them to his ears someone heavily bumped into him making him drop the precious items with a yelp.

"Sorry!"the man quickly apologized before walking away as if nothing happened. Yoongi sent a glare his way, hands raised before looking down and opening wide eyes. His headphones had fallen into a puddle of water... They were done for.

"No no noooo"he muttered, crouching down and retrieving both pieces. To his greatest dismay, water had done its damage and the headphones were unrecoverable.

Jaw slackened and wearing a crestfallen expression, Yoongi let out a breath, silently mourning his loss.

This was bad. His headphones were his escape from the rest of the world. He didn't have to sit through the noise and the crowd while wearing them. Plus they cost quite the money... now he'd have to sit quietly and hear the noise surrounding him.

He hated crowds and crowded places. They gave him anxiety and made him want to lose it. Music had always been his escape and now he had nothing to listen with.

This was tragic. His day honestly couldn't get any worse. Scowling, the young man made his way into the train, wanting to sit at his usual place but there were too many people. He grimaced and drew in short breaths, wanting nothing but to run away and go on foot.

"Come on just suck it up."he muttered to himself, edging himself closer to the windows.

He'd buy cheap ones as soon as he'd get home.

"I'm sorry, thank you, sorry,"voices echoed here and there, with people pushing through and slipping their way through the mass of people stuck to one another. There were more people than usual, probably because of the annual fair outside of town.

The train kept going and the young man found it harder and harder to breathe in the stuffy place. People were all going to the same place, and therefore not getting off anytime soon.

His frown never left his face and he shut his eyes, trying to drown out the noise, the bad smell and the dull atmosphere.

A hand gently wrapped around his, pulling him out at the next station before he could utter a word. Yoongi opened his eyes wide, too surprised to pull away as he followed.
