The pressure was becoming too much so I just quickly walked past him, not without saying a quick "Buenas Noches Nico (good night Nico)" I ran up the stairs and went to my room, leaving my brother in the kitchen, I close the door and sat on the floor, I look around my room, the only source of light being the moonlight shining through the window, I pulled one knee close to my chest and let out a sigh as I ran my fingers through my hair
"Now what?"

After that chat with my brother I couldn't sleep, shocker(sarcasm), I heard my alarm go off at 7:30, I usually wake up an hour late on non-working days, but that doesn't really matter when you can't actually sleep
As usual, I grabbed my glasses and when to the bathroom, I noticed that my brother was still sleeping, which means I have to cook breakfast, fun(more sarcasm), we usually take turns, but we don't bother waking the other one up, I went to my room to get dressed, I put on my usual look, jeans, a simple t-shirt, and oversize jacket and black boots

After I got dressed I took a look a the necklace on my neck, it was a simple chain with a red jewel in the middle, my brother has the same one but blue, it's the last thing we have left of mama and papa, I smile as I put the necklace inside my shirt, did my hair real quick, grabbed my stuff and walked downstairs, I started cooking breakfast, nothing much just bagels and a coffee for me, and orange juice for him, I hear footsteps coming from upstairs and I see my brother
"Buenos Dias(good morning)" he says, was he angry? I couldn't tell
"Buenos Dias" I replied, I put our plates down and we sat down at the table, and started eating
"What time are we supposed to meet them?" My brother asked, without looking up from his food
"12:30," I said
"Cool" he replied, I tried to make eye contact but it was nearly impossible, I guess he was still mad at me, after I was done eating I cleaned my plate and mug and got ready to go out, I had to do some things before we meet up with the flying cat and the other two
"I'm going out, I'll see you at the bookstore," I said as I grabbed my set of keys, I heard my brother yell "ok!" And I opened the door and left

It was 11:36, I just left the store to buy something we needed, I was on my way to the car when someone bumped into me, it made me trip and I feel on my side, my face hitting the hard, hot cement, and not only did I fell on the side where my cheek almost got burned of, I also dropped all of my groceries, including a carton of eggs, and I also dropped my glasses

"What the heck! Would it kill you to watch where you're going?!" I say angry, as I push myself off the floor, I luckily found my glasses, as I put them on I notice that there is a small crack in them, I look to my left to see who the heck am I gonna kill and to my surprise, is douxie, he was cursing to himself softly
"You again?!" I ask, he was lying next to me with an arm on my waist, I pushed him off and sat up
"Well it's nice to see you too," douxie says as he sits up too, I get up to grab the bag that was knocked out of my hands and start grabbing my things and putting them in the plastic bag
"Here let me help" he starts picking up the scattered groceries and putting them in their bags, I look over at the carton of eggs, I pick it up slowly, and notice it was leaking, "well that's never a good sign," I say as I threw the carton in the garbage bin that was outside the store, it was just then when I notice a scrape on my hand, it had some dirt and debris in it, it wasn't anything serious, but I should probably get that cleaned up
"I'm really sorry about that! I was in a hurry so I wasn't really paying attention to--" he begin rambling but I interrupted him
"Look it's fine! it was an accident, it happens" I reassured, I took the bags of him and gave him a weak smile, but he stopped me before I could walk away
"Evelyn wait!" he says
"What?" I say
"Well I was thinking since we're meeting up in less than an hour maybe we can go together," he said as he smiled, "not gonna lie, that smile is pretty cute," I thought, then I mentally slapped myself in the head "what? No! Pull yourself together Evelyn!" I said in my head
"I have to drop off my bags at my house first, plus didn't you say you were in a hurry," I say, his eyes widened due to realization
"You're right! I gotta go! I'll see you at the bookstore!" He says as he runs away, I chuckled slightly and walked to my car, I put my stuff in the trunk and got in my car and sat down at the driver's seat, I took my glasses off to examine them, which was kind of difficult because I need my glasses to see, when I got close enough, I saw the crack, and it was very noticeable, I hover my left hand over the broken glass and say "Oculus Reparo" my hand and my glasses lightly glowed red before the crack in the lenses completely disappeared, I know I shouldn't use my magic in public, but I wasn't going to pay 80$ just to get my glasses fixed, I put them back on and started driving to my house

I got home and noticed my brother already left I left the groceries on the kitchen counter and went upstairs to clean the scrape on my hand, I went to the cabinet and got the rubbing alcohol a washcloth and some tweezers to get the debris out, and started cleaning my wound, after I was done I decided that I would walk to the bookstore, I could use the fresh air, I check the time just to make sure I wasn't running late, it was 12:14, the walk was just 10 minutes so I was gonna be a little early
I turned around the corner and saw the bookstore, I saw that see my brother was already there, he notices me and waved at me "hi Ev" he says with a smile, I guess he's not mad anymore, I wave back
"Hi Nico," I say, I pull my phone out to check the time, 12:29, I look for a few seconds, and then it changed to 12:30, then suddenly the door to the bookstore opened, me and my brother look at each other before we walked to the door and when we look inside... oh my gosh it looked like a fantasy story there was and armor in one side of the store, there was a table with a crystal ball in it, the was a floating chandelier with purple crystals on it, it was cool, I look around for a few seconds and I finally look at what was in front of me, I see Douxie, the cat, and Finn standing in the middle of the bookstore
