Once the three had made it to the lagoon, Y/N
couldn't help but be enamored by the gorgeous mermaids. Peter looked over at her, only to she her eyes glued to the mermaids, a bright smile on her face. Peter smiled too, proud he could make her so happy.

"Just imagine, real live mermaids," Wendy said, gripping her sister's arm.

Peter looked at the two girls, gesturing to the mermaids, "Would you like to meet 'em?"

Y/N turned to him, smile even brighter than before, "Oh, Peter, we'd love to."

Peter grabbed her hand, leaving her sister behind the rock, "Alright, come one."

He pulled her along as he hopped down some rocks, playing his pan flute.

One of the mermaid's heard the sound, and looked up, pointing at Peter with a happy smile, "It's Peter."

"Hello, Peter!" The mermaids chorused, waving at the boy.

He and Y/N landed on the rock that the mermaid's were perched on, "Hello, girls."

Y/N smiled at the beautiful mermaids, "Hello, it's lovely to meet you all. You're absolutely gorgeous."

One of the mermaids smiled at her, "Oh, why thank you. And who might you be?"

Peter gestured to Y/N, "This is Y/N, she's the one with the beautiful voice who tells the stories that I told you guys about."

Another mermaid with red hair perked up out of the water, "Oh, how lovely. Peter's told us a lot about you."

Y/N blushed, looking at her feet, "I-well- My voice isn't all that great."

"Sure, it is," Peter said, wrapping an arm around the girl's shoulders, "You girls should hear it. It's absolutely fantastic."

"Well," a blonde mermaid began, "Why don't you sing for us?"

Y/N's eyes widened, "Oh, no, no, no. I've never sang for anyone outside of my own family. I didn't even know that Peter had heard me sing until a little while ago."

"Oh, please!" A mermaid with a red ponytail pleaded, "I've been dying to hear your voice since Peter first told us about you."

Y/N sent a glare to the boy in question, who let out a nervous chuckle as he scratched the back of his head, "Hey, in my defense, how was I supposed to know you didn't sing for anybody?"

Y/N sighed, "Oh, alright. Just don't make fun of me when my voice is nothing less than atrocious."

The mermaids and Peter cheered as the mermaids pulled themselves up to rest closer to the girl and Peter sat cross-legged in front of her, resting his elbows on his knees and his chin in his hands.

Y/N looked at Peter who smiled, sending her a wink, and motioning for her to go ahead. She took a deep breath, before starting to sing a song she had written about another one of her favorite stories, Alice in Wonderland.
