Okay, I'd like to demonstrate my improvement in the past almost 2 years. I'll focus on the eyes (because I noticed that even in the older chapters, I always pointed out that the eyes was my favorite part of a lot of drawings).

This was March of 2020, on my 4th consecutive Piers drawing:

Gurl where is the eye shine? He looks dead inside (which let's face it, we know he's dead inside, but he's surrounded by lights so there should be a shine somewhere)

I remember I used to struggle with adding eye shines so I didn't bother adding it, but I should've at least tried... and regarding the shading itself, there isn't much contrast. Also I just noticed, but the eyes are straight up ovals. I will give myself credit on one part though- since I didn't use outlines, I darkened the outer edge of the irises.

And this is my current drawing of my OC Kuriso, which I started in December of 2021:

See? Eye shines really do make all the difference.

Unrelated to the eyes, but I'd like to point out the GLEAM ON THE LIPS--
