Birds Are Singing Love

To say that the Seven Kingdoms were a mess at the moment, would be an understatement. Their King, Joffrey, was dead. Even if they all hated him, he was easily manipulated into doing whatever they wished for him to do. Kind of like his father, Robert was. And now that he was dead, everyone expected his younger brother, Tommen to take the throne.

Slight problem with that was that Tommen was not here.

And Cersei was going berserk that her son was missing, her other son was dead, her daughter was missing and married to "That horrible peasant heathen". Her brother (a.k.a lover) was missing, the man (her brother) who killed her son was missing, and so was the accomplice Sansa. Margaery Tyrell was also missing, which means that the Tyrells blamed the Lannisters for her disappearance. Not to mention the almost hundred soldiers and guests that were killed while the Vikings were running away.

Quiet the record there.

After the headcount was made, and the repairs had begun, the people wanted an official statement from their King. They wanted to see him. Slight problem was that there was no King. But no one had to know that.

A small council meeting was called upon to decide the matter at hand. Tywin sat at the top of the table, fuming with rage but kept a cool demeanor to hide it. Cersei however could not stop pacing by the window, clutching the goblet of wine she kept refilling like a lifeboat.

"Where are they?", she asked angrily. It had been too long since Tywin, her father, had ordered for the other Small Council Members to come attend the meeting.

As if they heard them call, Lord Varys, Lord Baelish, Lord Oberyn, Lord Mace and Maester Pycelle entered the dark room, and took their seats by the table. Cersei snarled and took another drink of her wine. Tywin, however, remained calm and precise.

"Any news on my sons and grandson?", asked Tywin calmly, but no one spoke up. He slammed his hand against the table, making everyone present jump in their seats.

"Collectively you control more spies and informants than the rest of the world combined. Do you mean to tell me that none of you have any notion of where they are?", he asked, his voice still remaining the same level.

"We are trying, my Lord", replied Lord Varys but Tywin did not want any of that.

"Try harder", he said and looked between everyone in the room. "In the meanwhile, we need to solve the problem of the King. No one knows that Prince Tommen is not here. And I trust all of you that you will not tell anyone either, if you know what's good for you".

"Of course, my Lord", replied everyone except Oberyn.

"Lord Tywin, excuse my question, but the people want to see their new King. Are we supposed to lie to them too? They will start to suspect, question, and when they do, rumours will start growing like weeds in a field. A riot, if not a rebellion is not far from the horizon", said Lord Oberyn and Tywin watched him.

"Don't you think I know that?", he asked, some venom seeped into his voice that he could not control. "That is why I propose that we find a boy that looks like Tommen, color his hair, and making him look like the King. It is not like anyone actually expects Tommen to be a hands on King at such a young age. We just need a public image".

"Where would we find this boy?", asked Lord Baelish sarcastically. "Pick him off the street? There are many of them".

"You seem to be on the same page as we are, Lord Baelish. Good. You are tasked to find boys that are the same age, and size as Prince Tommen was", replied Tywin and levelled his gaze on everyone here.

"Meanwhile, I except that the Master of Ships would send out search parties. They may be able to find something. I doubt that the Pagans had enough supplies to last them until their home. They may have stopped in Essos, or perhaps another Island of which we know nothing about because our Travellers have yet to stumble upon one", ordered Tywin and Lord Tyrell nodded.
