As an Alpha, I know I will have to keep my guard up for a lot of things. Politics, rogues, the occasional challenges, keeping my mate safe - whenever I find her - but what I didn't count on, what I could never have predicted was that a dream would take me down.
After the incident inside the cafeteria, I got my ear chewed off by the vice-principal, who gave me a week of suspension and called my parents. After I left his office, Nate was there waiting to check on me. I looked devastated, naturally.
"Don't worry about it, brother. Everybody does it." - Nate snickered and I couldn't help but laugh out loud. He knew just what to say to make me smile. He's the best, honestly. And yes, he's talking about [my] masturbation that Lauren not so kindly informed the entire school earlier in the cafeteria.
"I know, I can smell it sometimes." - I said as my face twisted in disgust.
"Me too." - He grimaced at the thought.
There's a brief pause. And then...
"So..." - He started again. - "Are you going to tell me who..."
"No! Don't even!" - I interrupted him in a seriously menacing tone.
"OK, just please tell me it wasn't Da--" - He said, almost disheartened, but I interrupted him again.
"NO! Oh my Goddess! No, brother, I would never... Ever! Not even in my dreams!" - Now I look REALLY disgusted at the notion. Goddess forbids.
"OK, I'm sorry I asked. I just got a little worried with all the secrecy... And then, that punch." - He explained, looking worriedly at me.
"That wasn't about her, don't worry. That was actually for you. I could see you were getting angry at that guy." - I clarified, trying to make sense of my actions for him.
"So, you beat me to the punch?" - He asked with a laugh.
"Yeah, I did." - I couldn't help but laugh too at the terrible pun.
"Are you alright?! I know that was ugly, especially for you guys, you two never argue..." - Nate wondered, sounding concerned for me.
"Not really. I'm not gonna lie, I feel a little defeated. I really didn't see it coming." - I replied, deeply affected by that discussion. Lauren doesn't usually play dirty like this, especially not in front of an audience. I guess she must have been really affected by the whole dream debacle.
"Me neither! Who knew the big bad Alpha could be defeated by a mere dream?" - He snickered, playfully.
"Certainly not me!" - That was all I could muster. I sounded really troubled by this.
"So, how much suspension did you get?" - He asked me, curiously.
"A week! And that is only because it was my first offense!" - I told him, worriedly.
"Jesus! A whole week! Well, best of luck brother. I have to get back to the classroom." - Nate hugged me and walked away.
I had to leave school. But I couldn't go home yet, so I waited for the bus outside. I mean, I could text my mom to pick me up but I was afraid of facing her, to be honest. Not to mention my dad. This has literally never happened to me before.
Although I have trained in various types of combat, not including wrestling whose team I am the captain of, I'm actually a pretty laid back guy. I've never even fought anyone outside of a gym or training site before. Ever. So, this is gonna be hell to pay when my parents get a hold of me.
I'm a little scared of their reaction, not gonna lie.
