Akeisha

"Kei!" I looked at my friends, Mira and Zana, running towards me while holding their beers. Nandito kami ngayon sa Zamboanga, hindi ako nag paalam kila mommy na dito kami mags-swmming. Ang sabi ko lang ay lalabas kami, pero hindi ko sinabi kung saan.

"What's up?" Tanong ko. Humahagikgik sila kaya may hint na ako kung anong meron.

"Samuel is here!" Samuel's my suitor, well, kind of my boyfriend now. I don't like putting labels, so let's just say na mag MU kami.

"Okay? What's that supposed to do with me?" They sighed.

"He brought some friends! Oh my God, they're so hot." Nagtilian pa silang dalawa. Umiling iling ako bago naglakad palayo sa dagat. Sumunod din sila Mira at Zana sa'kin. 

"Hey, love." Bati sa'kin ni Samuel pagkalapit ko sa kaniya. He quickly kissed me before we went out of the reception. Sumandal ako sa poste habang nasa harap ko siya na nakatingin lang sa'kin.

"What?" I asked. He shrugged.

"I missed you," I just nodded before drinking my beer. Nilingon ko sila Mira na kumakaway sa'kin. I just nodded before they pulled Samuel's friends. Binalik ko ang tingin kay Samuel.

"Ang layo mo sa nanay mo 'no?" He accidentally met mom before. And the worst part of that accident was she caught us making outside of tito Jed's club.

"What do you mean?" I asked even though I know what he meant by that.

"You know, you're completely opposite from her." I took that as an insult.

"Because we're two different people." I walked out in front of him. Buti na lang at hindi niya ako sinundan kaya naglakad ako pabalik sa dalampasigan kung saan papalubog na ang araw. I sat there and peacefully drank my beer nang biglang tumunog ang phone ko.

"What?" I asked.

[Mom's on her way to Zamboanga now.] Napatayo ako sa sinabi ni Kiro. Shit! How did she know I'm here?

"What the heck did you say to her?" Tanong ko sa kapatid ko. 

[Woah, not me. Don't blame me for your mistake, sis. She tracked your phone and now she's on her way there with dad.] Napakagat ako sa labi ko dahil sa sinabi niya.

"Tell them I'm here for swimming practice! And I'm here with the team!" Nag panic ako agad. I'm not a total rebel, I'm still scared.

[You owe me two now.] God, buti na lang at madaling pakiusapan si Kiro.

"Yes, I love you, bro." Binaba niya agad ang phone kaya napaupo ako sa buhangin, kinakabahan pa rin dahil baka dumating talaga sila mom.

But no one came, no mom or dad.

And to celebrate that, nag aya akong mag club. It was supposed to be my treat but Samuel paid already. 

"Akeisha," Nilingon ko siya nang tawagin niya ako. Nasa smoking area ako, taking a hit.

"What?" Bumuga ako ng usok sa hangin.

"Ano ba tayo?" Tinignan ko siya bago humithit sa sigarilyo ko.

"Tao tayo, bakit?" I joked. He sighed.

"I know, but what I meant is anong relasyon natin? You told your parents that I'm your suitor." I nodded before puffing the last smoke from my cigarette.

"Then that's it, you're my suitor." He scoffed.

"I don't want to be your suitor anymore, I want to be your boyfriend. I want us to be official, Akeisha." I looked at him and laughed.
