I won't lie, I didn't think we would make it here but here we are.. Nationals
Unfortunately I've had the displeasure of rooming with both West and Eldon, they may be my boys but god I hate to think about the weird crap they do when they sleep
"Shall we go find your girls?" West teased, we both shot him a look
"Surely it should be more depressing for you being the only boy on this team single" I laughed making him shoot me same look
"Noah is single" He argued making both Eldon and I laugh
"He's been dating Richelle for god knows how long" Eldon said
"Even I know that and I've been on this team for a year" I replied before having a pillow thrown straight at my head
"Well from what I've heard from the grapevine, Beth and Alfie won't be a thing for much longer" West smirked
"Didn't realise Alfie was your type man" I said making him glare again
"I'm proud of you man. That must have taken a lot to include us on" Eldon said making both of us burst out laughing
"Carry on boys, carry on. I'll have the last laugh" He said rolling his eyes
Before any of us could say another word, there was a knock at the door, it must have been one of the girls
West as smooth as he tries to be, rushing to the door opening it and striking a pose
"well hello" He smirked before realising who it was
"Hi West" Miss Kate said making both Eldon and I burst out laughing hitting Eldon in the attempt to calm myself down
"We should have recorded that oh my lord!" I said before Miss Kate finally managed to get past West
"Right boys, we are all meeting downstairs in 10 minutes, you are all gonna go get food while I sign us up. Then I'll meet you all and inform you of the structure this year" Miss Kate ordered, the three of us looked at each other before turning back to Miss Kate and saluting
"maybe I should have mixed you three up. Maybe this was a bad idea" I heard her mutter as she walked out of our room..
Yeah Miss Kate, it was a bad idea but hey. At least I'm not roomed with Alfie

We did as instructed and heading downstairs as 10 minutes had passed yet somehow we were the last ones there. As we got out of the elevator we could see everyone huddled together and to my advantage, Riley had her back to me.
I put my finger up signally everyone around her to not say anything, they all smiled and nodded small enough that it wasn't easily noticeable
"Hey" I said putting both my arms around her waist pulling her close and kissing her cheek
With the instant touch, Riley's whole body jumped and tensed up until she heard my voice
"Ooo someone is jumpy" I teased making her roll her eyes
"Scare me like that and I wouldn't be surprised if you lose a certain little friend of yours!" she smirked earning laughter from everyone around us
"Two can play that game Ri" I warned her
"But I'll win" She said tapping my nose earning an eye roll from me
It didn't take us long to all be dug into our food, most of us guys were practically almost finished while most of the girls had barely made a dent
"Can you believe we are already here?" Michelle said after finishing her mouthful
"In a couple of days, this will all be over" Riley pouted making Michelle pout too
"Well let's not dwell on that please" Giselle said nudging Riley making her smile
"I think we've got this in the bag" I said smiling over at Riley
"Yeah, we've got a strong ass team this year" Eldon said backing me up
"Are you saying we weren't strong last year?" Amanda asked making Eldon roll his eyes
"Put it this way, last year we didn't have Giselle and her Acro, James and his breakdancing, Thalia and her technique Beth and her um opinions?" Eldon offered making me snigger
Out of everything he could have come up with..
That sums up Beth perfectly.
You can tell by the glare on her face
"I think what is trying to say is that we have a lot of things we didn't have last year and it could easily help us to win" Noah said making Eldon frantically nod probably to try and get him out of the hole he had dug
"Regardless, we're here to win" Alfie said raising his glass
"To Nationals!" He cheered making us all hold up our glasses to cheers with him
For the first time in a long time, I don't think Alfie is an enemy anymore. Sadly we can't say the same for Beth
She's still out for blood.
