It was already afternoon when Luke and Erdene left the palace for the dungeon's other exit to meet the werewolves. After everyone had finished their breakfast, the butler was given the unexpected task of showing Luke and the others around the palace. And because the group could not disobey the queen's orders, they all walked around the palace for hours, making them bored and wasting their time. Even though they already knew the queen was quite of an asshole, she is still the queen after all so they can't easily disobey.
Erdene was about to complain and leave when he heard about the unexpected tour, but Luke stopped him and allowed him to stay for the entire tour because he is Luke's knight after all. Erdene's only way of passing the time while walking around is by conversing with Dos or the children; otherwise, he appears bored the rest of the time.
"Just give them to me already, I want to go home."
Luke nodded in response to Erdene's irritated tone and turned to face Liam and Jay. Liam and Jay recognized Luke's expression and opened the dungeon's large double door. This double door leads to the other exit, which guards use for easy access and to avoid bumping into any royalty while wearing the muddy uniform that they've acquired while outside.
As soon as the door opened, the sight of countless sharp glowing eyes in the dark could be seen looking at them. Erdene's lips twitched as he saw this.
"The werewolves?"
Luke nodded and motioned for the werewolves to emerge.
"Come here, this is the person who will give you guys a new home."
For a few seconds, the pairs of eyes exchanged glances before slowly exiting the dungeon. As their bodies were exposed to the sunlight, their dark tanned skin became more visible. When the werewolves emerged from the darkness, they all turned to face Luke and the unknown elegant green-haired man beside him. Luke was aware of the stares and smiled at them.
"This is who you'll be hanging out with in the Forest of Darkness."
Felix then took a step forward and spoke with curiosity.
"Pardon me, but who is he?"
Luke then grinned, making Felix feel uneasy. When Luke revealed who the unknown man is, all of Felix's hair stood up in shock, as did the rest of the werewolves.
"Erdene, the Spirit of the Wood."
Felix's eyes shook and he became pale. The other werewolves' bodies tremble in shock and fear as they stare at Erdene, who exudes an imposing aura towards them. Felix then took a step back and respectfully bowed, prompting the other werewolves to do the same.
"It's an honor to meet the esteemed Ancient One!"
Erdene then smirked at them, his arms crossed.
"That's good; I like the respect you're displaying. You should be thankful that I even let you live in my forest. I wouldn't do it if it weren't for this guy, so you should be grateful."
Felix and the werewolves then raised their heads and looked at Luke, who was just looking at them casually. They began to become nervous as sweat began to fall from their brows. They already knew Luke was a powerful man with many connections, but this... This is on a whole new level.
Then Felix swallowed his saliva. He was relieved and terrified at the same time. Relief that his decision to make Luke their new king was correct, and fear that this was not the extent of Luke's connections. Felix senses it, but Luke has more, which sends shivers down his spine.
"I'll leave them to you, Grandpa."
"Whatever."
Erdene just rolled his eyes, and Luke simply smiled and patted him on the back. Luke then walks away slowly, with Liam and Jay close behind him. Erdene and the werewolves just stood there staring at their backs as they drifted away. When the werewolves heard Erdene speak, they turned their heads to the front.
