When he heard the word "werewolves," Luke's face became serious. He almost forgot that there were werewolves from the Dark Eye who had been captured as prisoners of war. Luke then made a serious face at the gate. Soon after, he noticed the gate slowly opening and saw a knight with jet-black hair and ruby-red eyes emerge; it was Liam.

Liam came to a halt when he noticed Lance standing in front of him, but he was even more taken aback when he noticed Luke staring at him.

"B-brother! You are awake?!"

"Good to see you, Liam."

Liam frowned and looked at Luke with concern.

"Do you think it's okay that you're moving around like this after only waking up?"

Lance gave a snort.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine. He can even blabber nonsense as soon as he woke up earlier."

Luke frowned at Lance but Lance just ignored him and entered the dungeon. Luke simply sighed, and Liam trailed behind him. While walking inside, Luke began to question Liam.

"What happened while I was gone, Liam?"

Liam took a moment to think of what to say before speaking.

"We took the werewolves into the dungeon after you fainted. Jay and I decided to work together to guard the werewolves which his highness immediately approved."

Luke cast a glance in the direction of Lance, who was walking in front of him. He then proceeded to ask another question.

"Did anything strange happen while I was away?"

"Well..."

"Hmm? "

Luke turned his head towards Liam and saw Liam's extremely serious face. Luke can tell what happened just by looking at that grim expression.

"It appears that there is quite a buzz because of Jay's unexpected appearance and assistance in the war?"

Liam nodded and sighed.

"Fortunately, the Reece soldiers and the Magic Tower defended him. Jay had also made a public appearance to demonstrate that he was not a threat to the kingdom. While we're at it, we made Ava and Shawn appear in front of the public with Jay."

Luke scratched his head and thought deeply for a few seconds. He's concerned because so much has happened while he's been gone.

"So? How did it turn out?"

"Fortunately, the public was very understanding and quickly accepted them. There were some who were still against them but his highness took care of it."

"Let me guess, the ones who were against it were in a part of the second and third princes' faction."

"Correct, the king has yet no say to this matter though."

"Oh my god what an irresponsible moron..."

Liam just sighed while nodding as if he agrees with Luke. During Luke's absence, he witnessed firsthand the king's and the other princes' irresponsibility and corruption. Even the queen is irresponsible, as she simply threw the situation into Lance's hands, putting Lance in a difficult situation.

"We've arrived."

Lance's voice made Luke and Liam stop moving. Luke then moved his gaze forward, peering inside each of the cells. Luke then frowned as he examined the werewolves in each cell.

"What's this?"

'Why are they looking at me like that?'

Luke frowned while looking at the shining eyes and bright faces of the werewolves that were looking at him. They all look so harmless that you will completely forget the reason why they are in the cell in the first place. They appear to be lost puppies rather than prisoners of war.
