Who are you?

Stories of fiction are about heroes and sheroes. A shero sees a problem and decides to act. When she finds difficulties on hor way, she doesn't look for excuses; she searches for solutions.

There's always a moment when a hero feels down and defeated, worthless, everything is lost. Mind the gap between ambition and ability. Nobody was born with all the skills and knowledge. Those tools grow on lessons and failures. Progress comes before perfection. It's not a mistake; it's a learning experience.

A true hero refuses to surrender and never gives up. The antagonist (the white page) is monumental, but our courageous hero fills the white villain with awe. The competition is killing, but heroes are creative and find a way. The hero has a strong motivation to do something amazing, and hor desire to fix the problem is stronger than anything that stands in hor way.

Are you a hero?

You can only fail by not trying.

[Editor's Note: «hor» is inclusive language, meaning «his or her». «horself» = «himself or herself». We use «she» instead of «he or she», as «she» includes «he».

Every word objectifies a certain idea. New ideas and fresh thinking require new words. As a woman, I happily embrace this elegant initiative. Instead of the masculine «hero», the feminine «heroine» could have been used, but the word «shero» makes it clear that we're talking about an action figure M/F and not about an addictive drug.

What's next? Another worldwide discussion why it's always «he or she», «his or her», and never «she or he» and «her or his»? As long as women and men don't get the same pay for the same work, I refuse to waste time and energy on endless debates about sexist-free language. I'm an action figure: stop talking and fix the problem!]
