Chapter 69: End of Volume 2

Start from the beginning

Zhou Shuo stood up, looked at Xia Liang's back, and said uneasily, "Brother Liang, what do you want to say?"

Xia Liang replied, "I am a person who likes to think and plan carefully before acting, so I will not easily accept some new things nor will I accept some unpredictable changes. However, once I make up my mind to accept and adapt to it, I will persevere and never regret it."

Xia Liang turned around and looked at Zhou Shuo. "You also know that after I learned that my genes had changed, I was very resistant in my heart. For a long time, I couldn't accept this reality. I even made an agreement with Du Lanze that if they can find a medicine to change this kind of physique, I am willing to be their experiment.

"But later, I slowly accepted the fact that I was pregnant, slowly accepted the future where Xia Xia existed, and slowly accepted you. I don't know what you think in your heart or how you see me in your eyes. Am I your lover, a relative, or am I just your Omega?"

Zhou Shuo gradually changed his expression, stepped forward, and said, "Brother Liang..."

"Listen to me first." Xia Liang raised his hand to stop him from approaching. "Actually, in retrospect, when we are in heat, there is only one Omega by your side and one Alpha by my side. There was no other choice. This may give you a certain illusion that you and I are a so-called match made in heaven. But aside from these metaphysical things, if there is no influence and inducement of pheromone, will you really choose me? Are you really prepared to live with me for the rest of your life?"

Zhou Shuo stopped talking, but knelt down in front of him silently. Xia Liang was taken aback.

"What are you doing?"

"Brother Liang, there are some things that I actually wanted to tell you four years ago." Zhou Shuo raised his face and looked at Xia Liang. "Do you remember the first time we met?"

Xia Liang thought about it for a while and said, "It seems that it was...in an orphanage."

Zhou Shuo smiled bitterly, "Look, Brother Liang, you are obviously a few years older than me but you are not as impressed as I am of the memory of this incident. You know why?"

Xia Liang looked at him in confusion.

"Perhaps in your life, I was just an adopted son who appeared in the Xia family at a certain period of time but in my life, you changed my destiny and took me out of the orphanage to come in contact with the great world.

"I know that the old lady didn't intend to adopt me in the beginning. You persuaded her from the sidelines. I remembered every word you said clearly. On the day I left the orphanage, I secretly swore in my heart that I must do well in the Xia family. I cannot let you down or let you regret your decision."

Xia Liang was stunned for a moment and then suddenly said, "So you have been reluctant to endure in our house because of..."

"At that time, I always followed you secretly and shared your joys, angers, and sorrows. The old lady asked me to follow Brother Lin and the chances of us getting along under the same roof became less and less. I would look at you whenever I had a chance. As long as I can see you once a day, it is enough.

"At that time, I was stupid and didn't know what this feeling was. Especially after I entered puberty, I began to dare not look at you because everytime I see you, I feel flustered. I thought that it was a strange illness. I thought that as long as I leave this place, the illness would get better so I applied for the military academy after the college entrance examination. I reduced the number of home visits granted by the regulations of the military academy. But in the end, I found out that it was all in vain. Even in the military academy, I often dream of you...."

Xia Liang opened his mouth slightly but was unable to say a word.

"When I finally wanted to understand what kind of feelings I had for you, I was hesitant but in the end, I decided to go back to this home and be back by your side. Even if I can't tell you the thoughts in my heart, as long as I can see you every day and do things by your side, I will be satisfied."

Zhou Shuo smiled bitterly and continued,  "You said that I accept new things faster than you. In fact, I can't believe this is true. I prayed that this beautiful dream will never end. I even wondered how many good deeds I had done in my previous life in exchange for this."

Xia Liang's eyes gradually clouded up as he looked at him. Then, he bent down slightly and actively kissed Zhou Shuo's lips.

"For more than 20 years, you have suffered." Xia Liang bit his lips and muttered in a low voice, "You should've told me earlier."

Zhou Shuo's heart was full of grievances. "I didn't dare to tell you before because I was afraid that you would think I was sick."

"If it were four years ago, it would be really hard to tell." Xia Liang smiled narrowly, "But not anymore."

Zhou Shuo stood up, held Xia Liang's face cautiously, kissed him back carefully, and said a little coquettishly, "Brother Liang, I have already told you everything I hid in my heart, you can't abandon me now."

Xia Liang couldn't help laughing, "Coincidentally, that is also what I want to say to you."

THE END.

Notes from the original Chinese author:

The story of the Xia brothers has come to an end and some friends may feel that the story is still unfinished. What happened when Xia Liang and Zhou Shuo went to the ABO Realm? Well... Maybe there will be other stories in the future but this story ends here.

In fact, I have made a lot of preparations for this series and there are still many stories to write, such as stories for Du Lanze, Ke Mei, Song Huaixin, etc. I can only wait for the opportunity to open a new article in the future.

One of the big gains this year is that I have met a lot of cuties through this novel, and I am really happy. Goodbye, I love you :)

From watercookie:

There were a lot of times when I wanted to discontinue MTL-ing this novel. A translation group picked this novel up and I know that they would release better english translations. But their updates are slow and to not leave people hanging, I did my best to complete this novel.  I just want you all to know that I appreciate all of you and thank you for staying until the end 💜
