None of them had been able to get any more than a few hours of sleep. Ava was still running off of the three hours from the night before. Tempers were running on a high from exhaustion. Oslo was declared brain dead. He hadn't moved, hadn't blinked, or slept. With that head injury, Ava knew very well that there was no hope of saving Oslo's life, regardless if they were in the Mint or outside of those walls in a hospital. She tried her best to explain that to Helsinki, but he didn't want to hear it. She didn't blame him. He just wasn't ready to cope with the loss of his cousin. Ava wasn't sure how she'd handle it if it was someone that she was closer to like Martin or Berlin. She'd probably be in the same situation that he was in right now. Unable to cope with the reality of the situation. They were unable to get ahold of the Professor in what now just turned twelve hours. This was causing panic to set within the group members. Ava tried to calm them, but even her mind was running wild with confusion. The Professor would've never left them randomly. He would've told Berlin at the very least if he was leaving for more than a few hours. Berlin called him again. No answer. Everyone stared at Berlin with fear in their eyes. Rio was on guard, watching over most of the hostages. Helsinki was still broken so he spent most of his time beside half-dead Oslo. Ava looked up from the glass on the table and straight at Berlin. Berlin's face was frozen calmly. He had faith in his brother, but she could see even the slightest bit of fear in his own eyes.      "No answer?" Tokyo questioned it, but they all already knew the answer. The Professor still wasn't picking up the phone. "He's been arrested. Or taken. Or something. Something isn't right." Tokyo trailed on and on.        "There's no need to even panic yet." Berlin tried to calm her, turning to look at the hot-headed woman who was already panicking. "He has twenty-four hours, and it's only been ten."          "Twelve," Phoenix spoke up, correcting the amount of hours that had gone by. He stood beside Tokyo with his arms crossed over his chest. He hadn't talked to Ava after she wrapped up his arm. He wasn't able to work with Moscow like he had been because of the pain in his arm, but he was contributing in different ways.         "Huh?" Berlin glared at him as he questioned this.         "It's been twelve hours. He has twelve more and that's all." Phoenix continued.         "That's all? What the hell will we do, Phoenix?" Ava spoke up this time, exasperated. She took a long chug of the wine in front of her. "Run out the front gates because the Professor isn't answering the phone?"         "He's probably being interrogated." Phoenix pointed out.        "And he's an intelligent man," Ava argued back. "I still have faith and he's not out of time yet. So everyone, get back to work." She snapped. She stood up from the table this time and reached out for the bottle of wine on the stand. Everyone shared a few annoyed looks with each other.          "Who the hell are you to try and order me around?" Tokyo laughed in hysteria. She was the most worried about the Professor not being reachable. Ava furrowed her eyebrows and turned to face her completely. "You think since you're fucking Berlin you get to run everything in here?"           "Are you fucking -" Ava started but Berlin quickly cut her off. He practically stood in front of her, reaching a hand out to stop her from walking over to Tokyo. They didn't need any more drama than they already had.           "Enough." He only said this word and they fell silent again. Phoenix was glaring at Berlin with eyes so hard they could kill him. "All of you get back to work. We'll try to call again in an hour." He tried to reassure them that everything would be fine, but Tokyo was battling her fears in her head and it was driving her insane. Phoenix grabbed the extra wrap for his arm and left the room to go clean himself up. Tokyo hurried down to meet with Rio, wanting to tell him exactly what was going on. Berlin turned to face Ava. He cocked his head to the side and sighed.            This heist was getting unbearable. The drama was too much to handle. They chose criminals that all had very strong backbones which was good when it came to fighting, but they were so very opinionated. And they all thought that they were right.           "Who the fuck is she to comment on who I'm having sex with?" Ava ranted as she poured herself another glass of wine. She should be sleeping, but she was spending her time with Berlin. Berlin reaches for a handout, grabbing the wine from her. He couldn't deal with a drunk woman on top of everything else that was going on. Ava glared at him.           "I think you've had enough to drink." He commented, putting the wine bottle back on the shelf. Berlin walked straight over to her. The stress was written right on her face. She was overwhelmed, stressed, and tired. "Tokyo says whatever she can to hurt you when she's upset."           "She's so childish-" Ava was going to go on a rant, but Berlin reached out to take her hands. She immediately shut up and instead took a deep breath. He was the only person who was able to help her calm in ways that others just couldn't, not even Martin.           "She's worried. She's just scared." He pointed out. "She doesn't mean half of the stuff she says. " He leaned down close to her, pecking Ava's lips quickly and softly. Ava was completely relaxed after the kiss.           "I should get back to work," Ava said. They all needed to stay focused even if the Professor had gone rogue. He was going to call them, Ava was sure of it. There was no way in hell that anything happened to him. He's a very smart man and Ava still had trust in him.            "We still have thirty minutes." Berlin hinted at it, but Ava stared at him with a smirk on her lips. She shook her head.           "No. We can't and we shouldn't. I need to go talk to Phoenix." Ava's guilt was still there, even after she admitted to her fiance that she didn't and never would love him the same way that she loved Andres. She wasn't sure it'd ever be possible for her to love anyone else the same or even close to the same way.            "We can and we should." He ran his hands slowly down her back, and Ava fell into him for a moment, giving into the feeling of his hands on her.           "No." She said it sternly this time and pulled herself away from him. "I'm going to find Phoenix." Berlin stared at her with a bit of disappointment in his eyes. She caught notice of it.     "What?" She almost chuckled. Berlin shook his head as if nothing was on his mind and walked over to her glass that was on the table. He finished her cup of wine in one drink. She knew better. She knew that something was on his mind, but she didn't press the situation. Instead, she just walked over to him, pecking his cheek. They had been showing a lot of attention and compassion to each other since the shootout, but Berlin almost seemed uninterested every time Phoenix was around or if his name was even mentioned. Ava left the room after that, strapping her gun to the holster on her side. She went straight to the restrooms, looking for her fiancé. Phoenix was just now pulling his red jumpsuit back on his body. He had been cleaning himself up the best he could. His eyes went straight to Ava when she walked into the restroom.           "Would've thought you'd have your alone time with Andres right now," Phoenix spoke in an annoyed tone.            "His name's Berlin." She corrected him. She stood in the doorway still, her hands crossed over her chest. Phoenix was an attractive man to the eye. He was fit and had dark brown hair and tan skin. He was a bit shorter than an average man, but to Ava, he was still very tall. Physically he was very attractive, but he was manipulative and cold at times. And that's really what made Ava's love for him shrink. She no longer felt safe at her own home.          "Whatever." Phoenix seemed uninterested in even talking to her right now. He tried his best to wrap up his arm. "How many times then? Have you slept with him in here?" He stopped what he was doing completely to look over at her.           "Three." She answered it honestly. She knew it was wrong then and she knew it was wrong now, but that wasn't enough to stop her. When Berlin was around she felt complete. He gave her a feeling that no other man had before. She wished she'd get it from her fiance but she didn't. Phoenix nodded his head, anger replacing the annoyance that had once been on his face.           "So we're done then, yeah?" Phoenix stared at her. His eyes were cold. "We come into this heist for us, and we're leaving separate. I'll be alone and you'll be with him. Or was that your plan this whole time?" He scoffed.              "No." She said it honestly. She sighed. She didn't want to continue to have the same conversation when they had work to get done. "I'm sorry," was all she could think to say. She was sorry, but she wasn't going to pretend to be happy with him anymore.           "You cheated on me from the beginning," he huffed, "with that piece of shit. And I knew it. I knew you'd do it again. Denver even knew it. "           "What?" This was news to her. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "What are you talking about?"            "Back at the house. We went to the festival and everyone got super drunk. They were all saying it to me. Tokyo, Rio, Nairobi- " he stepped over to her this time. "Denver." He knew she was closest to Denver so he deliberately said his name. "That you'd be fucking the psychopath asshole. That you were probably fucking him that night. Were you?"            "No," Ava answered honestly. She had spent some time alone with Berlin that night, but they hadn't kissed nor slept together. They didn't do anything more than talk, and that's when she realized that she still couldn't get herself over him. "I wasn't. It was actually after you choked me and he beat the living shit out of you." She said honestly.           "If he wanted you in any way close to how you want him then he wouldn't have slept with the hostage. Arianna, right?" He cocked an eyebrow up and couldn't help the smirk that pulled on his lips. "I'm sorry," he corrected, "raped the fucking hostage because she's fucking scared of him. That's the kind of man you want? He doesn't care. He doesn't feel. He never has. He's a psychopath. He's not capable of feeling for anyone but himself. And I'm sure you think I'm wrong, but I bet you he's still taking advantage of the poor little girl." Ava's face had fallen completely and all of the worries rushed right back. She knew why he was saying all of this. He didn't want her to have Berlin if he couldn't have her. He didn't want them to be happy. There was still a small part of her that thought he was right. Her biggest fear had always been his lack of compassion and empathy towards others. She knew Andres was different, but she had never labeled him as a psychopath.
