A/N the beginning of this chapter will start with Jessie's POV on the window sill.

Jessie

As I stood from the window sill I looked below me. At the grey concrete as the moonlight glimmered down at the water fountain.

I thought over my life. My parents death, aunties battle with cancer. Now it was my time.

I had given up all hope that I could have a saviour. I had been beaten and abused this entire time and I had no hope.

I wanted to end this, clearly I didn't matter to anyone. My goal in finding a place to belong failed dramatically.

Maybe I just Don't belong.

Life continued getting worse and worse the more I was with Thomas. I feel worthless.

I closed my eyes and lifted a foot from the sill. I was ready to end it all.

My entire life, gone down the drain without a second thought.

Just as I was about to leap, I heard him.

"Jessie!" He seemed scared.

I opened my eyes and placed my foot back on the ledge. I turned my head to the voice and it was him

"Leo.." My voice cracked with tears.

I stared at him until I felt arms wrap around me. They pulled me back into the room and threw me on the floor.

"If your going to die, it will be in the hands of me!" Thomas pulled out a pistol.

My heart sunk to the floor. I suddenly didn't want to die anymore. The handcuffs on my wrists had now left open wounds on my wrists and even the slightest movement shot pain through me.

I stared at the eyes of the gun pointed right between my eyes and watched as Thomas's index finger went to the trigger.

I closed my eyes as I realized I was going to die. My life would end in the hands of the man I once cherished.

Bang!

I awaited the pain to hit my skull but it never came. I slowly opened my eyes to Thomas looking around frantically.

The concern on his face made me realize he lowered the gun as he looked for the source of the gun shot.

Now is my chance.

Leo

I opened my eyes at the gun shot and looked at the window. I no longer saw Jessie with the man.

"No no no no!" I cried out.

I stared out the window as my eye got teary. I felt a hand on my shoulder a turned around to face them.

"Leo, it was me shooting that fucker. He was going to stab you!" Harland's explanation relived me slightly as I turned my attention to the man bleeding out on the concrete.

I looked back up at the room Jessie was in and saw movement coming from in side.

"We got to go get her." I ordered as I ran to the back door.
