AFTER the evening of meeting the new His Holiness, Astrid was preparing to leave Romania to go to Sicily, Italy. She knew her new assignment would have to engage the Vampire named Aaron Covaci. She grunted as she did not want to be near any Vampire that might suck her blood in under a minute.

But her heart could not help but ache for the possibility that she could kill him under the impression that she was a damsel in distress. That was the only consolation prize for her new assignment, she thought happily before hopping onto the plane and going to Sicily.

She arrived in the morning and went to check in at the hotel that was designed by the Order so that she could track the Vampire easily. And what a chance that she was staying at the same hotel as Aaron Covaci!

The first time that Astrid went to stalk the Vampire was when Aaron went to take a walk around the town square. She was making some side notes to make sure that she would not get attached to the male before she witnessed something.

Aaron was talking to the old woman who owned the coffee shop that he frequented for the last few days. He would always be there for a few minutes just asking about her health and day before taking his coffee and going to take a seat at the table that was looking over the streets. Her heart ached before she shook her head and told herself that Aaron used his charms to get what he wanted.

No, not Aaron. The Vampire. Giving him a name would make it impossible for her not to think that the Vampire was a being. Astrid did want to think that for later, she would have to kill the Vampire for the future of mankind.

Aaron went out on Thursday the second week as it was his routine to get the delicious all-black coffee from the local owner by the old couple. He learned that the old woman was called Nonna and he had donned on himself to call her so.

And of course, he liked the coffee that they made.

As usual, he ordered the coffee as he was talking to the old woman, asking about her day and her health. She smiled brightly at him as if there was no one else in the coffee shop. She loved it when people talked to her and Aaron was one of those people.

"Nonna! Good evening. It's a beautiful day, yes?" he asked in Italian as Nonna smiled at him. She nodded before she was leaning against the counter as she looked at Aaron.

"It would seem that you are in a good mood today," she noted before Aaron shrugged his shoulder.

"Well, we all love it when our day is going according to the plan," he said before Nonna arched her white eyebrow.

"Is your day going according to plan?" she replied before Aaron laughed and shook his head.

"Hmm, that's a tough question but I will let you know later, okay?" he said before he made his way to make the coffee that was done. He took it without looking as he went to the table that was claimed as his. He looked out the window, looked at the pedestrians, and took a sip.

Aaron grimaced before he sniffed the coffee. It was not the same brew that he usually had for it tasted sweet and not coffee. It was espresso. He stood up as he was walking to get the new order before he smelled the most delicate scent in his entire life. His heart raced in his chest before his eyes were focusing on the figure who was talking to Nonna.

The woman was tall, for she was lean built. Blonde mane with fair complexion and her voice...it was angelic as she was talking to Nonna as she was holding her coffee cup. With his sensitive hearing, Aaron could hear what they were talking about.

"I don't think I get the right order, Nonna. This is all black coffee and I ordered an espresso," she said before Nonna smiled at her.

"Well, that was unfortunate. Would you like to get another?" Nonna asked the young woman before she shook her head.
