Chapter Sixty Four:
Friendship Overcomes The Dead

"NO!" Wendy snapped catching Anna and Erza off guard "we aren't leaving you especially with her we don't know how powerful she is plus it's too risky"

"Wendy is right we have to fight this together and besides" Erza's eyes narrowed at Gray "I also want to know why he has betrayed Fairy Tail"

Suddenly the female within the dragon began to laugh madly catching them all off guard except Gray who didn't seem faze by what was happening around him

"YES! YES! YES! After countless hours of blood, sweat and tears I've produced this wonder of science the dragonoid!" Daphne cackled "if you had any kind of  manners you'd at least congratulate me on a job well done"

Erza's hands clenched at this "you're the one who's responsible for this madness? Release Natsu now or else!"

"Sorry but fire boy stays were he is" Daphne remarked her voice mumbled causing Anna to sweat drop knowing that the crazy lady was eating "the dragonoid is using him as a battery, after all so I have no intention of letting him go"

"I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON IT YOU BI-" Anna screamed she was about to finish her sentence until Carla quickly placed her paw over the mages mouth venturing to Wendy to which she stopped.

"While you have the chance Natsu Dragneel won't be around much longer" Daphne informed the girls

"Magic powers life to a wizard e have to stop her before she drains him" Erza gritted out her fist clenched tightly

Anna's eyes locked onto Gray's form she was confused as to why the male would betray his guild, his own friends it just didn't make sense why he would do such a thing especially helping a psychopath for the matter

"I seem to recall hearing about a deranged female wizard who was obsessed with dragons and even tried creating artificial ones but I thought it was just a rumour" Carla exclaimed aloud catching their attention

"That sounds just like her" Wendy said toward the female exceed staring back at the giant dragon in front of her

"Oh now that's so insulting! I'm far from deranged by this time tomorrow the academic world will speak my name with utter fear" Daphne gloated

"More like insane this bitch should be locked up in a mental asylum" Anna mumbled earning a sharp jab from Erza who held an amused look within her eyes before she turned serious once again.

Daphne chuckled "the roads been long and filled with obstacles but I overcame each one brilliantly" the sound of munching was then heard

'I hope you die eating those disgusting things!' Anna mentally cursed a ton of KI leaking from her body causing her teammates even Erza to get far away from the blonde as they can

"The first step was no small feat I had to successfully incubate artificial dragon eggs and have the young survive. Then I needed test subjects luckily my home town had plenty to spare but like me everyone there used hidden magic so they could all escape before my dragons could reach them" Anna could practically hear the disappointment in Daphne's voice just then

"Since I no longer had any test subjects I couldn't collect any data and the experiment was ruined. I sealed them within their own spells trapping them forever. The dragonoid should have been able to sense the hidden townsfolk but they were defective" again another sigh of annoyance escaped the crazy lady's lips
