Ava didn't let go of Jesy for the rest of the night. Even while having dinner the little girl had decided to sit on Jesy's lap. She really wanted to make sure the brunette wasn't going anywhere. At least until they placed themselves on the couch, there Ava decided she wanted some of Perrie's cuddles too so she crawled to the blonde's lap placing her head on her chest. They put on a movie but the three of them ended up falling asleep.
Next morning Perrie felt the little three-year-old stir a bit. When she opened her eyes she saw a still sleepy Ava rubbing her eyes "Morning baba" she said with a low voice, trying not to wake up the sleeping woman right next to her "Did you sleep well?" she asked earning a little nod "Well, that's some good news" Perrie said tickling the little girl
Suddenly Ava stopped giggling and looked at Jesy who was still sleeping "Jesy?" the girl said looking at Perrie and the woman immediately understood she wanted to wake her up
"Why don't we let her sleep a little longer and you and I go make us some breakfast?" she asked. Ava wasn't so sure about that idea at first but ended up nodding "Let's go then" Perrie said placing Ava on the couch so she could stand up and before she started walking towards the kitchen, she felt a little hand take hers "How does pancakes sound?" she said while picking Ava up and sitting her on the kitchen counter
"What's that?" the girl said with a little frown on her face
"You never had pancakes before?" Perrie asked surprised "I'm gonna have a serious talk with Jesy once she wakes up"
"What are we talking about?" the brunette said entering the kitchen "Morning baby" she said kissing Ava's forehead
"Give me one good reason why this little girl doesn't know what pancakes are" Perrie said pretending seriousness "I know you are not that great of a cook but come on" she said making them both laugh
"Lucky she has you then" the brunette answered smiling when she noticed Ava's head resting against her arm "someone here seems to want to go back to sleep" Perrie turned back and smiled at the sight. A still sleepy Ava trying to keep her eyes open
"Well, I'm done here. Let's go set down the table so we can eat" the woman said putting the last pancakes on a plate
"Got you" the brunette said "Want to help me?" she asked towards Ava receiving a nod in response. Jesy grabbed Ava putting her on the ground, grabbed a couple cups which she placed on the table and a glass she gave to Ava "Pay attention to your feet and your hands okey? We don't want to drop the glass"
"Okey" the little girl whispered and started walking towards the table
"By any chance you don't have a straw do you?" Jesy asked looking at Perrie "We are not out of the sippy cup yet"
"That's fine, there should be some on the second drawer" she said going to the table with the plates. Ava had left the glass over the table and was now playing with Travis that was delighted with the attention he recieved from the girl
The three girls had breakfast and spent the rest of the morning on the backyard. While Ava run around being chased by the dogs, Perrie and Jesy kept an eye on her. As they were talking, Alex who had just came back from a work trip entered the house "Babe I'm home!" they heard and Perrie stood up to go greet him being followed by the dogs of course. As soon as the three-year-old realized the presence of a stranger in the house she run towards Jesy climbing to her lap
"Hey, It's all right. That's Alex, Perrie's boyfriend" Jesy explained "He is really nice I promise" Ava looked at her hands feeling nervous "Baby, I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true. Do you maybe wanna try saying hi?" The little girl looked up and nodded.
Inside the house the couple watched the interaction between the brunette and the child and waited for them to get inside. Alex didn't know much about Ava, Perrie hadn't wanted to tell him much, she felt it was not her place to do so. The brunette hugged Alex as they said hi, it had been a long time since the had last seen eachother and also she wanted to show Ava there was nothing to be scared of.
"Hey there" Alex said kneeling down to Ava's level trying to be less intimidating "It's really nice to finally meet you" he said to the little girl who was still hiding behind Jesy. Ava was still hesitant about Alex and the brunette noticed so she decided to say something
"Hey baba, do you wanna know something really cool?" she said and Ava looked up nodding "Alex is a footballer, like the ones on the telly" the girl instantelly looked back at Alex
"You are?" she asked suddenly intrigued
"Yes, I am" he answered smiling
"... and you get to pway in big stadiums and all?" she asked with a surprised expression on her face
"Yes I do" he said and Ava let out a little gasp which made the adults on the room chuckle "I'm gonna go change and then I'll be back" he said to Perrie while standing up and the last mentioned nodded
"Alex nice" the three-year-old said once Alex wasn't there. She had asked Perrie to pick her up and was now talking to her
"I think so too"
