12 - Lunch

Sunday rolled around and Noah got ready to meet up with Rowan.

Sabrina came over before he left to meet up with Rowan.

"You are not cancelling on her," Sabrina said.

"Why not?" Noah said. "I don't want to go."

"Then why did you agree?"

"I didn't want to be a jerk."

"You'd be a jerk if you cancel on her last minute," Sabrina said.

"Sabrina, I told you, I have a bad feeling about this."

"And if it goes wrong, I'll call you with a lie to leave," Sabrina said.

Noah sighed. "Okay, fine," he rolled his eyes, "I'll go."

"You better go," Sabrina said. 

"What's going on?" Joey asked, walking into the living room from his bedroom.

"You dumbass roommate wants to cancel plans with Rowan."

"Then do it," Joey shrugged.

"Are you kidding me?" Sabrina said in disbelief. "You're kidding me, right?"

"What?" Joey said, innocently.

"He's not cancelling," Sabrina said.

"Why can't he?"

"He already agreed to meet Rowan," Sabrina said, glaring at Noah. "He can't cancel an hour before they agreed to go."

"Oh."

"I really don't wan to go," Noah complained.

He sat down on the couch.

"Where are you guys going for lunch?"

"She said the Grove," Noah shrugged.

"Okay, why not Sabrina and I be close by?" Joey suggested.

"Ooh, that's a good idea."

"That way, if it goes south -" Joey began.

"We call him with a lie," Sabrina finished.

"Okay. Okay," he stood up again. "I probably should go get her now."

"You're giving her a ride?" Sabrina said.

Noah was to oblivious to realize that Sabrina was not happy about it.

"Yeah, she asked and I agreed," Noah shrugged.

Joey looked between the two.

"What?" he asked.

"Nothing," she lied.

"Sabrina, whatever it is -" Noah took a step towards Sabrina.

"It's nothing," Sabrina said. "It's nothing. Go get Rowan. Tell us when you get there so we come."

"Okay," Noah said.

All Noah knew was that there was something wrong. What it was, he didn't know. He couldn't think about it now when he had to pick up Rowan to have lunch with her.

Noah left the apartment to pick up Rowan.

Joey gave Sabrina a look after Noah closed the door behind her.

"What?" Sabrina asked.

"Oh, you know," Joey crossed his arms above his chest.

"I don't?" she said.

"You still like Noah," Joey said.

"What? No, I don't! Noah's one of my friends."

"That's what you both said before you started dating, didn't you?" Joey said. "And didn't you write a song called Paris, a place you two went to together?"
