Finally Flying

"Alright, Louis, you're first. Are you ready?" ask. He looks at Natalie and shakes his head.

"I don't want to um . . . I don't wanna go first." He blushes as he admits it. "Harry should go first." He chuckles, pushing Harry toward us.

"Uh . . . " Harry scratches the back of his neck.

"Harry, look, dead bird flying!" Zayn shouts. As soon as Harry actually looks - which makes me crack up at how niave that was - the boys shout, "One, two, three, not it!"

Harry looks at the boys and groans, shoving Zayn with his arm and hesitantly stepping forward. "I- um . . . A-Are you sure this is safe?" He asks, looking at me, then at Nat. We both nod, laughing.

"Okay, here we go." She says, stepping toward Harry. He shuts his eyes tightly as she holds her palm out toward him, and we all watch as he shrinks to about a foot tall. I smirk as he keeps his eyes closed. "Harry, open your eyes." Natalie giggles.

The boys stare at him with their jaws hanging to the floor. I can't help but laugh, until a little scream interrupts me, making me jump. It still sounds exactly like Harry, just not as loud. I laugh and lean down to the floor, picking him up by his waist. I look at him in the eyes and let out a little giggle. "Ready to fly?" I smirk.

"I guess so." He smiles excitedly. The boys still stare at him like he's an alien.

"Alright. Hold on tight!" I say, putting him on my shoulder and stepping outside. My wings snap outward and I gasp, loving the feeling of the wind in my wings. I've never flown free, before, so this will be a blast! As soon as my wings are flapping, I'm moving upward, and my feet are completely off the ground, I use my wing power to blast straight upward like a bullet. Harry holds onto my shirt as tightly as possible, feeling as if it's for dear life. "Calm down, Harry. Relax." I laugh.

When we're high enough to be about fifty feet above the trees, I decide to fly straight, letting Harry climb onto my neck as if he were riding a horse. "I'm trying. I really am." He says, holding onto my hair to keep his balance. "This is so beautiful . . . " He whispers, looking down at the trees. "Can we go higher?" He asks.

"Only a few more feet. Your lungs could collapse." I inform him and fly about two hundred feet higher before stopping. "You good?" I ask.

"Yeah. I'm good." He shouts over the wind. I nod and fly straight again, trying to find a clearing. The only one I see is by the bus. It'll do. "Um . . . Alina, what are you doing?" He asks as I turn around.

"You'll see." I smile, pulling him off of my shoulders, and holding him in front of me.

"Don't drop me, Alina. Please don't." He begs, looking down, then back at me. He's so adorable when he's the size of a Ken doll. I laugh and shake my head.

"I'm not going to drop you, Harry." I giggle. "I'm trying to find a safe place for you." I frown. If only Natalie had made him a bit smaller . . . Oh well.

"I could . . . Um . . . " He looks me up and down, then frowns. I'm only in a t-shirt and jeans. "I have an idea, but . . . nevermind."

"What?" I ask, flapping my wings, but staying in the same place.

"Never mind." His entire face turns red, and I immediately know what he was thinking.

"Harry!" I cry, shaking my head. "No way." I laugh, not even considering it.

"I didn't say it!" He cackles, crossing his arms and smirking. "Why don't you use your jacket?" He asks, pointing to it, tied to my waist. I nod, landing on the top of a tree and slipping it on while Harry sits on a branch. "Wait, how will you fly?" He asks. I smirk and snap my wings through the back of my jacket, making holes in it, but I don't care. I can always get a new one. "Nice." He laughs. I nod and zip it up, letting him sit in the front, holding onto the zipper. I fly upward as far as I can.

"Tell me when your ears pop." I tell Harry. At about 2,400 feet, Harry tells me that his chest feels pressure, so I stop. I guess he's been in too many plane rides for his ears to pop. "Hold on tight." I order. He nods and as soon as he is ready, I fold my wings in, laughing as he begins screaming for his dear life.

"What are you doing?! We're gonna die!" He screams. "Um . . . Alina?" He shouts. "I'm . . . Oh my gosh we're gonna die!" He shouts. We're only halfway to the ground. "Alina . . . we have an issue." He yells, turning around to face me, and I look down to see him getting bigger. Oh, no. It's wearing off.

"Crap! Just hold on!" I laugh, flattening my wings as much as possible.

I feel my jacket getting tighter and tighter until I feel like we're being squished. "Alina!" He yells, just as I'm around 100 feet from the ground. I snap my wings out and we catch wind, pulling us backward a bit. I sigh and slowly bat my wings until we land, and it's not easy. We land on the ground with a thump and I can't help but crack up. Harry is almost back to his normal size, but we're stuck in the jacket.

"Remind me to never use one of your ideas again." I groan, trying to reach around Harry to unzip the jacket, but it's no use. My arms aren't long enough and he's at normal size, now.

"Agreed." He grunts, trying to move around, but it just makes everything really awkward. "Uh . . . Sorry. Hi." He mumbles, making me giggle.

"I-uh . . . This is really awkward." I tell him. He nods. I'm guessing he's not done growing because I feel like I'm getting shorter. Oh, wait. I am shorter than Harry. Suddenly, I hear someone clapping and we turn to see Dr. Franco and his men.

"What a lovely situation . . . "
