OH GOSH, what is he saying?

"Dad, I am al--"

"Shush. The decision is final, alright." he cut me off middle sentence and put a finger in front of my lips, " Now, I want you to wait here and we will prepare this game to you." he said with finality.

"But--"

Once again he cut me off mid-sentence. "I don't want to hear anymore buts."

He and the two brothers got up and made their way through the door. Pasalampak akong umupo sa couch.

Ano, balik ako ng eskwelahan ngayon? I am so done with school! But if I refuse to do this, baka ay paalisin ako dito.

I sighed. So much for being a free kid. Kung hindi ko lang sana ipinakita ang chess board na iyon, I must still be reading books.

Two weeks later~

In these past two weeks ay palaging busy ang Daddy, si Duke Andrew naman taught me was the secret Mana Technique only for the main family of the Griffiths. Now, when I heard of this, hindi ko kaagad na pinaniwalaan iyon. I mean, hindi ako galing sa main family. Why would they give me this Mana Technique, that is unless, they have a hidden agenda.

My thoughts, at that moment were going to different scenarios but I decided to just shrugged it off. Hindi ko kayang mag-overthink ngayon, lalo na't madadagdagan ang mga taong kailangan kong pag-sinungalingan.

Sinimulan na ni Duke Andrew akong turuan ng secret Mana Technique. At dahil natutunan ko ang Mana Technique ng Lady of the Moon, Naging madali naman ang pag-aaral ko ng Mana Technique ng mga Griffiths. Natanong ko naman si Kenneally kung pwede ba na dalawa ang Mana Technique ang gamitin ko, sabi naman niya na okay lang.

Nasa library ako ngayon nagbabasa ng isang libro tungkol sa mga elves. At oo, may library na dito sa tinitirhan ko. Ipinalagay nila ito dito dahil nakita nilang interesado ako masyado sa mga libro. Ang libro dito sa loob ng library ay ang mga librong nabasa ko na. I almost filled a whole bookshelf with just my fairytails books that came from the main house, and there is more coming.

Biglang bumukas ang pinto ng library at inuluwa nito ang aking ama. I looked at him. "What?"

It may sound disrespectful to others, especially to Irisia, but this man right here, prefers to be called without the honorifics and etiquettes and all that. I asked him once and he said it makes him feel old. Well, that is up to him.

"Get up. The guests are here."

I rolled my eyes and followed him. Nagbabasa pa ako eh! Ano ba naman yan.

Busy ngayon ang kabahayan. Maraming pinatanggal, pinalitan at inaayos sa loob ng bahay na ito, na nalaman kong Gardenia Palace pala ang tawag. Nalaman ko din na ang tawag sa main house ay Rose Palace. Yes, palace. Mala palasyo naman kasi ang ganda.

Ang garden sa likod ay pinaayos na din mula noong nagdesisyon akong hindi ako sa Rose Palace titira. Lahat ng mga ginagawa dito sa loob ng bahay ay ang Head Butler mismo ang nag-aasekaso, dahil narin sa utos ni Daddy.

Narating namin ang drawing room, or a place where we receive the guest. I stood on the outside, frozen. This will be my first time seeing someone who is completely a stranger to me. Okay lang naman iyong sina Daddy kasi may mga tidbits akong nalalaman sa kanila. But these people, they are a complete stranger.

Paano na lang kung masamang tao talaga sila? Alam mo iyong, aapihin ako dahil sa hindi ako galing sa main family. Ganoon iyon sa mga movies di'ba? Hindi naman sa magpapa-api ako, pero it is quite troubling, I must say.
