Your heart weakens.

The palisman sighs.

"What did you need me for?" You say.

Hunter, realizing what he said makes him blush in regret and embarrassment. His grip on your wrists tighten.

He pins you down. You gasp out of surprise.

"THATS NOT WHAT I MEANT! YOURE NOT MY BEST FRIEND!" Hunter yells, all red faced.

You stare at him, still in shock.

"YOU.... you.." Hunter blushes, staring at you.

He's mesmerized by your eyes, and stops talking. You remain silent and stare at his in return.

Big red rubies.

"Y/n." He says.

You remain silent.

He leans in closer, you refuse to move, you don't know what the right and wrong option to do right now is, but you're intrigued.

He stares at you, and from having his hands clamped tightly on your wrists, they slide up to your hands, your fingers now intertwined. He keeps leaning closer and closer.

"I..." he says softly, the both of your noses touching.

Both of your lips are quivering.

He closes his eyes, and you close yours, his lips are about to meet yours at any second, he's about to kiss you.

And just as soon as he's about to do what you thought he was going to do, there's a loud banging at his door, making him jolt off you, in embarassment, and runs to the door.

"WHAT?!" Hunter angrily yells opening the door.

"Golden guard sir! Sorry to interrupt, we needed your input on a couple of things!" A guard says.

"I'm busy, ask Kikimora." Hunter says slamming the door.

You stare.

He walks back and sits next to you on the bed. You look at him, not knowing what emotion to feel.

"Come with me." He says grabbing your arm, and leading you out of his room.

"Oh, ok." You say silently, following wherever he's dragging you too.

The 2 of you end up in the garden. Just the 2 of you, the garden is beautiful, it seems like all your work really went to good. Hunter then let's go of your hand and stands infront of you.

"I'm sorry, about everything." He says.

"You're fine." You say.

"About.. what happened." He says.

You tense up, clenching your hands in fists. What is he going to say? Is he going to say he hates you? He wants nothing to do with you? He only views you as something small, your just his entertainment clown?

"Um.. you're not my best friend." He says blushing.

You start shaking.

"You're... something mo-" he says but gets cut off by the garden doors opening.

He angrily clenches his fists. Why must he always be interrupted?!

That's when he realizes, the one who opened the door isn't just an ordinary guard.

It's emperor Belos himself.

"Belos!" He says, immediately bowing.

You assume you should do, you awkwardly bow at his presence.

Belos smiles under his mask.

"Beautiful sky, today, is it not?" He says.

"Yes sir." Hunter says.

"Ah.. and the garden is simply amazing." Belos says.

"You may rise." He says.

The 2 of you rise, you awkwardly hold your hands together.

"Ahhh, who's she?" Belos questions.

"This is my personal caretaker and the castles gardener, her name is Y/n L/n" Hunter states.

"Y/n hm? I do say, I love all your hard work you've put into our garden, and our flowers and plants scattered throughout the halls." He softly says.

"Thank you sir." You say.

Belos nods.

"So... if I do ask, what brings the 2 of you children here?" He says.

"I was walking, and she was accompanying me sir." Hunter says.

"For what reason? She may be your caretaker.. but I don't see what's necessary about her accompanying you Hunter, she should be taking care of your room, or elsewhere around the castle." Belos says.

You gulp.

"I was curious about her finished work on the garden sir, i wished for her to accompany me so she can describe her work to me sir." Hunter says.

"Curious? You say? Oh Hunter.." He says.

"You know there's a saying 'curiosity kills the cat' do you not?" Belos tilts his head.

You can tell Hunter is sweating.

"Yes sir." He says softly.

" I assume you have more important manners to attend to Hunter, don't let curiousity consume you." Belos says.

"Yes sir." Hunter says, a little choked up.

"The Titan has big plans for you Hunter, any curiosity may refrain from reaching the Titans wish."  Belos continues.

"Yes sir." Hunter says, sweating a bit more.

"And this girl? Is she... distracting? To you? Hunter?" He says.

"No sir." Hunter shakes his head, still a little choked up.

"I see, well, if distraction is the case, I will be very disappointed in you Hunter." He says.

"Understood sir." Hunter says quickly.

"Mmhm.. well, don't let a young girl distract you from the titans will Hunter dear, I will be on my way,  head to where you are supposed to be." Belos says, walking away.

"Yes sir." Hunter says softly.

With that he leaves.

There's a silence in the garden, Hunter is staying in place with his head down. You slowly approach him, and grab his shoulder.

"Hunter, are you okay?" You say.

"Fine, maybe you should go, todays not good, I'm sorry." Hunter says.

"Okay... when do you want me back?" You ask.

"It doesn't matter, you can come whenever you want or you don't have to." Hunter says.

"The titans will is... more important." Hunter says softly.

You feel your heart hurting again. Then you clench your fists in anger.

"You know what?! Fine! I'll leave then! I'll just go! You don't... seem to want me." You say.

Hunter, opens his mouth about to say something, but then clenches his hand, and refrains.

"Goodbye." You say, stomping away, trying to hide your tears.

With that your gone. And Hunter stays, standing in the same place, in the garden, heartbroken.
