Zayn's POV
Darkness had settled in when Liam arrived home. Louis and Niall were engrossed in a game of Wii in the living room. Meanwhile, Hayden was fast asleep, her head nestled comfortably on Harry's lap. As for me, I am in the kitchen with Liam.
"She's been waiting for you the entire day" I said to him as he glanced at Harry, who was softly stroking Hayden's blonde curls.
he sighed heavily
"Did you talked to Dani about H?"
He nodded "I did. "
He paused, seemingly considering his next words, and I patiently waited for him to continue.
"She knew all along where she stands, where Fee stands, and how important she is to my life. And Dani... she is willing to give me up... 'as long as I am happy'... that's what she said," Liam explained solemnly.
"Hayden loves you so much" I reminded him
"I know mate, that's what making this so hard for all of us"
"Me and the lads tried to keep her busy all day. They've bought her all this... unnecessary stuff,"
Liam chuckled, knowing exactly how the boys doted on her.
"But she keep on asking for you and I'm already running out of excuses" I told him sternly studying his reactions
Liam looked down at his shuffling feet feeling guilty
"I wish I could help but this one is all on you mate" I said giving him a pat on the shoulder
He nodded "Thank you though for staying by her side"
"I might get used to it y'know"
"s'alright at least I know that she's taken care of" he smiled bitterly
He sighed once more running his hands through his ruffled hair
"Why don't you take her upstairs to her room? So she'd be more comfortable"
"Why don't you do it?"
"I just want to get used to it....as if its not difficult already"
"How can you abandon her Liam?" I questioned him shaking my head in disappointment
"Because I don't have a choice!" Liam barked, the boys looked at our direction
"I have to Zayn whether I like it or not" he said a little lower this time waving his hands exasperatedly in the air.
"Everything alright?" Niall asked, placing his hands on both Liam's and my shoulders, glancing back and forth between us.
I shook my head, leaving them both in the kitchen, and made my way towards the living room. Stopping in front of the couch where Hayden slept, I towered in front of Harry, intending to pick her up from his lap.
"I'll take her to her room " Harry declared
"No. I'll do it" I told him not waiting for him to answer and scooping Hayden from his grasp carrying him bridal style
I didn't need to look at him to know that he was throwing daggers at my retreating back
"What time are you going to turn in lads?" Liam asked behind me
"We'll just finish this round" Lou replied
"Well you know where to crash"
"Yeah, yeah sure" Lou answered not taking his eyes off the flat screen
The guys have a room in this flat, intended for when they come over so they have a place to sleep. They also have an extra room in their place for us, as sleeping over is likely to happen when we visit each other's homes.
