I had a meeting today and I knew it was going to be rough. I knew it was about Oakley. My management didn't even know I had a daughter so I know they are about to go off on me for the sudden news.
Last night Oakley stayed at KayKay's. Kay had asked if she could have Oakley for the night. I asked Oakley what she wanted to do and she told me yes so I let her go. When I dropped her off last night, Kay told me I needed to pick her up first thing in the morning. But I also didn't have a babysitter today so Oakley was going to the studio and the meeting with me.
I got up early and got ready then made sure I had a bag of snacks and such for Oakley today. I then quickly grabbed my keys and hopped in my truck and headed towards KayKay's apartment.

I pulled up to KayKay's apartment complex and got out, heading up the stairs to KayKay's door. When I reached it, I knocked then stepped back to wait for an answer.
KayKay answered the door and stepped aside so I could walk in. I looked around then found Oakley laying on the bed looking super sleepy.
Before I could even say hi to Oakley, Kay grabbed my arm and pulled me to her kitchen area,
"You're taking her to Disney World" she spit, very angry,
"Yeah. I am. You knew. I told you I was" I snapped,
"You're trying to bribe her into liking you more" she gritted,
"I am not. I just want a fun vacation with my daughter" I huffed then walked off to where Oakley was.
Oakley looked up as soon as she saw me. She grinned big and held her arms up, making me pick her up and hug her,
"Good morning baby girl" I whispered and kissed her head,
"Hi Daddy" she yawned, laying her head against my shoulder,
"How about we get going? You've gotta go to work with me today but I brought you some toys and the IPad to play with"
Oakley nodded and I grabbed all her stuff while still holding her then headed for the door. We said bye to KayKay then headed back down to my truck.
I opened the back door and put her stuff in then sat her in her carseat and gave her her baby blanket and stuffed Blue from Blue's Clues,
"Stawbucks?" Oakley asked,
"We can get Starbucks" I laughed with a nod. She smiled softly and I finished buckling her in then got in the driver's seat.

After making sure Oakley had her vanilla bean drink and her cake pop, we headed to the studio. Once we got there I helped her out of her carseat and tossed the bag I packed for her today on my back. I quickly grabbed her baby blanket and her stuffed Blue while she held onto her drink.
We headed inside and to the studio space. I opened the door and let her walk first, her whole face lighting up seeing her uncles. I grabbed her drink then let her run and hug them,
"Hello Miss Oakley" Calum hugged her tight,
"You get to hang out with us all day" Luke beamed and he plucked her from Calum's arms,
"Quite hogging her and let her see her favorite uncle" Michael whined and took Oakley from Luke. Oakley giggled the whole time.
I sat our stuff down and took a seat,
"I heard you went to Mommy's house last night. Did you have fun?" Calum asked her. Oakley nodded with a smile,
"What did you all do?" Luke asked next,
"Pwayed wif my baby doll. Ate macawoni. Watch Tangled" she shrugged then got off Michael's lap and marched to me,
"Mommy say I have to wearn how to use potty" she pouted with her arms crossed,
"You do have to learn buggy. We need to start learning soon" I told her, although we were going to teach her when I thought she was ready. She's most definitely not ready right now, but I guess KayKay wants her to be,
"Did you use the potty at Mommy's?" I asked,
"She made me sits on it"
I nodded and made the mental note that I should probably start getting pull-ups and such.

Just after lunch, I headed into another room for my meeting while the boys took care of Oakley.
As soon as I walked in, all of the management team's eyes were on me. I took a seat and looked at my manager,
"You have a kid?" He spit,
"I do. A three-year-old" I answered,
"You didn't think this needed to be brought up? You know your image is going to change" he spoke,
"I don't give a fuck what my image is. I have a daughter and people have to accept that" I sighed,
"But they found out from your ex, or should we say baby momma"
I controlled myself,
"Her mom. She's my daughter's mom. We can refer to her as that" I defended, "And yeah, it's not how I wanted people to know. But it was going to come out eventually"
"You need to speak up and say or post something. The pot is stirring with social media and things are crazy"
"I know" I nodded, "And I will post when I want to. She's my daughter and I will decide what is said and when it gets said"
I know it's my management but they won't tell me what to do with my daughter. My plan was to post something today anyway but they don't need to know that,
"We have to know these things, Ashton, so we can filter things and make sure it doesn't lead to bigger problems"
"I understand"
I watched them all huff but sit back,
"Are you done yelling because if so I need to attend to my child?"
They nodded and let me leave and walked back to the studio.
When I walked in the boys glanced at me. I sighed and looked for my daughter, finding her taking a nap on the couch,
"So?" Luke questioned,
"They're trying to tell me what to do with my daughter. But news flash, she's MY daughter not their's so I can do what I want"
"Are you going to post?" Calum asked,
"I am. Now actually"
