Chapter 35: Argument

Akemi's POV

We were currently doing a shoot after months of me being on hiatus. Kise and I are back to being partners but there are times that Kaito and I are partners. For this shoot, the three of us are together since Yuki suddenly said they don't want to do it anymore. I took back the time I couldn't work by doubling the amount of shoot I have

"Hmm this just doesn't feel right," Photographer-san said looking at the pictures I just took

"I didn't think there would be a day where I could see Rinacchi making a mistake"

I playfully glared at him and he chuckled in return

"I disagree" Kaito butted in, "I think Rina-chan is always perfect at her job"

I nervously looked at Kaito. He still gives me anxiety every time we're together

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked, holding a water bottle

"No no you did perfectly as usual" photographer-san said and scratched his chin

"Maybe it's her blonde hair?" One of the staff commented "It's the only one out of place in the picture since it's all black"

"Then why not let Rinacchi wear a black wig?" Kise suggested

"Oh! That's good Kise!" He complimented Kise who grinned in return "Hey! Get someone to fix her hair"

"There's no need," I said "I know how to wear a wig perfectly" I walked away from them after getting the wig and went inside the dressing room, locking it after

'I guess it just makes my life easier' I thought and carefully removed my wig

After completely cleaning my hair from the glue and hiding the blonde and black wig perfectly, I went out to be greeted by Kise

"Oh! Rinacchi you're do-" He didn't finish his sentence when he saw me. His eyes widened a bit and his face suddenly turned serious

"What's wrong?" I asked him

But then it dawned on me, Kise Ryouta was dating Tanaka Akemi, the one with the black hair, and coincidentally Watanabe Rina the one she was pretending to be decided to have black hair

The only thing that was different was our eye colour

'Shit! I didn't think about that' I was now mentally panicking, hoping he wouldn't notice

"You look good Rina-chan!" photographer-san said

I quickly gave Kise a nervous smile and ran toward the staff

"Rina-chan!" Now it was Kaito's turn to call me

"What?" I coldly said to him

"Black hair really suits you, it looks like it's your real hair by how smooth it is," He said touching my hair

Suddenly, Kise blocked Kaito from touching me

"Don't touch her"

Kaito glared

"Don't you have a girlfriend? Why not focus on protecting your girl instead of Rina-chan?"

'We're the same person though' I thought

"Rinacchi is only a friend, I know my boundaries unlike someone who didn't hear the side of his girlfriend when she needed someone the most" Kise argued

"Oi!" Kaito shouted "You don't have any right to talk to me about my past"
