Chapter 24: Akemi?

Akemi's POV

I slowly opened my eyes only to see a beautiful face in front of me

"Kise?" I muttered under my breath, my gaze fixed on his face

"Isn't it a crime to be this handsome?" I asked, cupping his cheeks with my hand.

He scrunched up his face and slowly opened his eyes. We didn't move and continued to stare at each other while my hand is still on his cheeks

"Even in my dream...you're still with me," I said, staring into his stunning gold eyes.

This is the longest time I've ever stared at his face, now that I think about it. His golden eyes were as open and genuine as a child's, his long eyelashes could make any girl envious, and his lips were always painted with an honest smile.

"How strange" I exclaimed, "I feel so...warm"

His cheeks suddenly turned to pink as he closed his eyes

"Why is it that when I'm with you I forget about all my problems?" I asked him "This is the first time I've slept without having a nightmare in the last four days." He opened his eyes and returned my gaze, his cheeks still pink

"I don't want to wake up from this dream," I said sadly as I could feel something wet dripping down my face again. I slowly closed my eyes and let my tears soak my face

"Don't leave me" I muttered as my subconscious self hands over the reigns of the night

Kise's POV

I watched as she closed her eyes with tears streaming down her face. I sighed and wiped her tears with my thumb, careful not to wake her up. How did we even get in this position?

-flashback-

"Stay...Kise" She said letting her tears fall

I held her small hand in mine and sat beside her bed

"I will" It wasn't long when I started hearing her soft and even breathing

After a couple of hours, my legs started getting numb from sitting in the same position, my arms were getting tired from holding her hand as she sleeps

'A minute won't hurt right?' I thought

I slowly removed my hand that was holding her while I carefully stood up. But unfortunately, my legs gave out causing me to fall in front

I panicked and put a hand on Akemicchi's right side to support my weight while the other on Akemicchi's left side causing me to be in an awkward position

'Shit that was close' I cursed in my head as I closed my eyes, calming my heart down. But once I opened them, I immediately regretted it. My face was inches away from hers, and my gaze was drawn to her delicate lips, which enticed me to claim them....wait what?

'Get a hold of yourself Kise Ryouta! She's sick and defenceless!' I thought trying to remove both of my hands beside her head but she grabbed my arm and pulled me towards her

"A-Akemicchi?!" I asked quietly, looking at her, who was still sleeping and facing me

'How am I supposed to control myself when you're this close?!' I thought, calming my pounding heart once again

'Do you like her?' I suddenly remembered Akane-chan's question

'Like huh' I thought and looked at Akemicchi 'Do I like you?' I asked
