Akane's POV
Mom, Yato, and I were currently talking about Akemi when my phone suddenly rang. I looked to see who was calling and to my surprise, it was Kise
"Kise? What's up?"
"Akane-chan!" He sounded panic
"What's wrong?" I asked gaining looks from mom and Yato
"Akemicchi fell into the lake earlier! She's currently unconscious at the moment" He explained. I almost dropped my phone, but I managed to keep it still
He sent me the address and I explained it to mom and Yato which is why we are on the way to the mountains
'Now that I think about it, that mountain is where she first drowned' I thought. As if Yato could read my thought he said it out loud
"Isn't that the place where she first drowned?"
"Yeah"
The tension was thick a knife could cut through it
After a couple of hours we finally arrived, we hurriedly ran towards the small inn and went to find Emi
After walking around we finally saw her with Kise
"EMI!" I yelled and ran up to hug her
"Akane," She said and hugged back
"I'm glad you're okay," Mom said
"I just went abroad and this is what happened? You guys really need me in your life" Yato jokes
"Yato?" Akemi asked, surprised to see Yato here
"Miss me?"
"Not really"
"You brat!"
I look at Kise to see him smiling
The three of us bowed to him
"Thank you for saving him young boy," Mom said
"You're welcome," Kise said and bowed as well
"I.." We all looked at Akemi who was looking down, fidgeting with her fingers
"I remember everything now," She said "I'm sorry for lashing out at you" She bowed
I could feel myself crying again. I hugged her
"It's okay you idiot! We're sorry too" I sobbed on her shoulder while she was patting my back
Akemi's POV
I looked at Kise over Akane's shoulder to see him smiling at me. I smiled back which caught him off guard but smiled again nonetheless
The five of us talked for a while until they decided to go home considering that they have already seen that I'm fine
"Kise" Akane called "Can I talk to you privately," She asked
Kise looked at me then agreed. The two of them walked away from us
'I wonder what they're talking about' I thought
"Don't be too jealous Emi" Yato teased
"I'm not jealous," I said "When did you get here?"
"Yesterday, they called me saying that you weren't on good terms so I asked my boss for a vacation"
I nodded and hummed
"So?"
I raised an eyebrow
"So what?"
