3rd person POV
"Your father is hospitalized...he was in a car accident," The voice on the other side of the line said, "He's still in the operating room and he's currently at *insert hospital*"
Akemi dropped the phone
She didn't know what to do as she is only 6. Panicked, she called her mother, explaining what happened and where her father is
Her mother quickly went to her car and drove towards the hospital, hanging up on Akemi
Akemi was still worried so she called Akane and Ayato's mother, Ririyo
"A-Auntie" Her voice was shaking as she spoke
"P-Please save my father" was all she said for Ririyo to come to pick her up
The two of them went to the hospital and then outside of the operating room to see her mother crying on a chair
"M-Mom" Akemi called
Her mother walked up to her and slapped Akemi, making her fall
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU USELESS CHILD!" She shouted gaining a lot of attention from other people
"Don't blame it on her!" Ririyo hugged Akemi, protecting her from Emiko
"If only you didn't add up to his stress he wouldn't get into this accident!"
"I don't know what happened but Akemi has nothing to do with Akira-san's accident!"
"Excuse me?" A nurse interfered with the two women fighting "You are disrupting other people here, avoid fighting, please? Thank you" The nurse bowed down before walking away
"Come Akemi, let's buy you something to eat," Ririyo said and grabbed Akemi's hand, leading her to the vending machine

"Considering his ribs were broken and his arms were dislocated, I was surprised at how well the operation went," The doctor said "However, even though there is a chance that he'll wake up, the chances of him having amnesia is very high"
"That's fine" Emiko replied
"H-How long is he gonna be sleeping there?" Akemi shyly asked gaining a glare from her mother
"Well sweetie" The doctor bent down "He might be sleeping here for a while"
Akemi looked down, her eyes pooling with tears
"Don't worry! I'm confident your father will awaken soon!" The doctor attempted to cheer Akemi up because she was on the verge of crying
Akemi only nodded in response
The three of them were silent until Ririyo's phone rang
"Wait here okay?" She said to Akemi
Akemi and her mother were sitting watching Akira
'This is awkward' Akemi thought to herself feeling anxious. She remembered the times when her mother would treat her like crap
Wondering to herself if she did anything to displease her mother. After thinking to herself she concluded that she didn't do anything wrong
So why was her mother so mean to her?
Gathering her courage, she stood up from her chair and walked over to her mother
"M-Mom?"
Emiko ignored her
"Mom?" She called again
