Sinag immediately jumped off the bean bag to get some candles, Tessa following behind her. Tala sighed and stood up, she looked at Karl. She saw his face filled with worry and she pursed her lips and crouched in front of him.

"What's wrong?" she asked. He sighed, "I'm worried." He said. Tala sent him a small smile, understanding the feeling. She stood up and offered a hand. He looked at her confused and she chuckled, "Come on. Let me show you something." She said.

Karl accepted her hand and let her lead him upstairs. She was humming, not just to distract her from the worry of what was happening outside but also for Karl.

They stopped in front of a door, Tate stopping by their feet. She opened it and there seen in the minimal light was her room. Her bed near the window, a small desk where her computer sat, a corner filled with canvases and some paint and another with a small shelf of books.

She walked to her bathroom while Karl stood there with Tate by his feet. He looked down as the cat looked up at him, he shrugged as if he answered the furball's question.

Tala then walked back out holding out two candles. "I heard you loved candles?" she asked. Karl's eyes lit up making her smile. She moved closer to him, "These are two of my favorites to light up when it's raining." She said.

Karl looked at them and hummed, he grabbed the coffee scented one and Tala hummed in approval. "You wanna light it up?" she asked as she placed the other one on top of her dresser.

"Here?" he asked. Tala looked back at her, "Only if you want to." She said. Karl blushed a little but nodded as he moved to the window where he saw her lighter was placed.

She moved to sit on her bed and pulled her sketchbook. Turning to Karl again, watching as he lit up the candle, making sure that the flame won't extinguish. When he finished he looked at her to see her drawing again.

He stood nervously and she looked up. She chuckled at him and patted the space next to her, "Sit." She said. "Are- are you sure?" he asked. Tala raised her eyebrow, she will admit, it was a bit against how she was raised to have a boy in her room but it was Karl. If it was any other guy, they wouldn't even have entered the house if lucky they would be in the living room.

But it was Karl. The guy she was slowly- no scratch that, quickly falling for. So Tala sent him a reassuring smile, "Sol, we're not kids or teens anymore. We're adults." She joked.

Karl giggled and sat down and leaned his back on the headboard. Tala shifted closer and let Karl see, from the small light of the candle, he could see her drawing.

It was of him, well multiple angles of him. He felt his heart was gonna burst, he felt his cheeks heat up and he gulped. He was falling fast and it didn't stop, not like he wanted it to.

Tala turned to him and smiled, "You okay?" she asked. He hummed looking at her face. She smiled and flipped to a blank page, "Here try." She said.

Karl frowned a bit, "I don't wanna ruin your sketchbook." He said. Tala raised an eyebrow, "You know, I like to tell people that art is expression of who you are. There isn't ugly art, it's just the way the person expressed it." She whispered.

He looked down at the sketchbook, she chuckled and grabbed his hand making him freeze a bit, "Here." She said. "What will you do?" he asked. She chuckled and moved as she reached to the small bookshelf and took out the 5th book of the Harry Potter series.

She turned back to Karl and held the book up, he laughed, "You're such a nerd." He joked as he turned to the sketchbook and started to sketch. She scoffed, "Yes because you don't enjoy them?" she asked.

Karl smirked at her, "I don't deny that but I don't read it." He pointed out. She laughed and nodded, opening to where she had left with her book.

They sat there in silence, both of them not really want to break the silence. It was comfortable, comfortable enough for Tala to lay her head on his shoulder. He froze just the slightest bit before sinking into the feeling.

From the sound of the rain hitting the glass, to the crackling of the candle and the sound of the pencil on the paper and her flipping the book.

It had been quiet and they both enjoyed it, Karl being too invested in drawing didn't notice that the book that Tala was supposed to be reading was slowly sliding from her hands and was now on her lap.

Karl pursed his lips as he tried to fix Grey and Tate's whiskers, that was until Tate jumped on the bed and snuggled by Tala's side. He chuckled and looked at the girl and noticed she had indeed fallen asleep.

He felt himself smile at the thought that Tala was comfortable enough to sleep while she was with him. He always believed that being asleep was being in a state of vulnerability and the fact that Tala had drifted off while leaning onto him comfortably was a sign that she trusted him.

This thought made his heart flutter and as he placed the sketchbook to the bedside table and grabbed her book, making sure to mark where he thinks she left off, he carefully moved so that she wouldn't wake.

Tala stirred for a bit and making Karl stop moving. He looked down at her and she sighed, rubbing her eyes. Peaking them open for a bit, he smiled at her.

"You should go to sleep." He said. He was about to get out of bed when Tala snuggled into him, her face on his chest. Karl was worried that she would hear the erratic beating of his heart.

He gulped and moved so his arm was around her. "Stay." She said, her voice muffled. Karl chuckled and pulled the covers over her. "Anything for you Luna."
