Chapter 35: Sleepover Part 1

Start from the beginning

Jisoo raised an eyebrow. <I don't think that's how you're supposed to play that game.>

Rosé blushed. <Okay, but do you have any better ideas right now?>

Jisoo shrugged. <Spin it, I guess.>

Rosé picked up the bottle and spun it we all watched with interest as it spun, looking to see where it would land.

Of course, when it was finished spinning, it was pointing at me.

<Great,> I sighed.

Jisoo laughed and clapped her hands, delighted.

<Okay, Mr. Tough Guy,> Lisa said. <Truth or dare?>

I shrugged. <I don't care. Dare, I guess>

The four girls looked at each other, each of them clearly thinking hard.

<I have a dare,> said Jisoo after a moment's thought. Our heads turned to look at her.

<Sure,> I said. <Let's hear it.>

<Take your shirt off.>

<I... what?> That wasn't what I had been expecting at all. <Why?>

Jisoo shrugged. <Because I want to see you shirtless. And because I think it'll fluster you.>

<It will not fluster me! I have no problem with it.>

<Okay,> she said. <So do it.> She was looking at me with an expression that made it clear she was messing with me. <Unless you want to lose the game so early.>

<Fine,> I grumbled, reaching down and removing my shirt. I looked at her. <Are you happy?>

Her eyes roved over my body appreciatively. <Yes,> she said simply.

I turned back to the group. All three of them were staring at me. Lisa's face had gone a little pink. Rosé was clearly trying to hold back laughter. Jennie looked like she couldn't believe the direction that the last minutes had taken.

<Well that was... abrupt,> Jennie said finally.

<I did the stupid dare,> I said. <Can I put it back on now?>

<No,> said Jisoo. <It stays off.>

<Oh, come on.>

She shook her head. <That's the dare!>

<Fine,> I said, reaching for the bottle. <It stays off. Okay, who's next? And it better be you, that's all I'm saying.> I grabbed the bottle and spun.

I didn't actually care about not wearing the shirt. That didn't matter. Complaining about it was all part of the game—I wanted Jisoo to have fun and I knew that she found it fun to bother me. I couldn't exactly blame her—I liked bothering her too. Messing with each other was our idea of a good time.

When the bottle stopped spinning, it was pointing at Lisa. I pretended to be disappointed that it didn't land on Jisoo. <Well, truth or dare?> I asked Lisa.

She looked momentarily uncertain. <Truth,> she said finally. <I don't want Jisoo telling me that I need to take any of my clothing off.>

Rosé snorted. <You weren't actually going to do that, were you?> she asked Jisoo. Jisoo shrugged, a playful grin on her lips. I wouldn't have put it past her.

<So what's my truth?> Lisa asked.

Jennie looked like she had an idea. She opened her mouth, then closed it, seemingly deciding against whatever it was that she had been about to say.
