(23) I Don't Want It

Three days later,

"Okay, so this the will reading of Sarah Isobel Rogers." Mr Edwin Mccord said 

He opened up the file. 

"In the event of me and Joesph Rogers are passed James and Winnie are to assume guardianship if Isabella Presley Rogers and Steven Grant Rogers are under 18." He said 

"Ed, we are both in our late 20s.." Steve said 

"Right okay.." Edwin said 

He skimmed down, "So Steven you of course already know about your grandparents house. The farm is being given to both you and Isabella. Isabella you are being given the house that your parents owneď." He said as he continued to read. 

When it was over, Isabella was given the deed. She looked down as she wiped a tear, she looked at her brother. 

"I don't want it." She said as she slid it to him. 

"Izzy honey I know this isn't easy ." Winnie said 

"I don't want it, give it to Bucky for all I care." She said 

Nat looked at her  then to Steve. 

"Izzy I don't want your house.." Bucky said 

"Izzy.." Steve said 

"No I don't want it! Give it to Bucky or Brooke or whoever!." She said 

"Can everyone give me a minute with my sister..Buck you stay.." Steve said 

"Oh..okay." he said as he sat back down

Once everyone was gone, Steve stood up "Izzy I understand that the situation with Bucky, didn't go as you planned but hiding in Florida and trying so hard to forget where we came from isn't the way to be." He said 

"So you are taking his side." She said 

"No, but what I do want is for you to come home." Steve said 

"No, I don't want that house. I don't ever want it.." she said 

"Izzy..that is your home, where you grew up." Bucky said 

She looked down, "You talked all the time how you couldn't wait for it to be yours. What happened Izzy?" Steve said 

"That was before.." she said as she wiped tears. 

Bucky looked down, "Before what?" Steve said

"Before he ruined everything.." she said as she sniffled 

"How did I ruin everything.." Bucky said confused

"Everything I wanted for that house, had you in it. Its where we would be together, watch our babies grow..being just like my parents. But you ruined it, just like you ruined my first kiss by scaring me and my first time cause you said you didn't love me. So take the house since you are living the dream I had for us with her." She said and walked out. 

When they all got back to the house, they realized that Izzy had already headed back to Florida. 

"I'm not gonna give you the house.." Steve said 

"I wouldn't take it if you did.." Bucky said 

"She'll come to her senses, there's more she's not telling me. I can sense it, Izzy doesn't just give up." Steve said 

"I know." He said
