The next day, Steve woke up to Nat staring at him.
"Okay creepy.." he said
"Sorry, but I think your mom is hiding something about your sister." She said
"You noticed it too." He said
"Yeah and how she reacted to seeing Buck yesterday. And after what Brooke told us when you all came home. Something isn't adding up Steve. I mean I know she was a daddy's girl and it was hard but something is wrong." Nat said
"Yeah I know..I was hoping to talk to her before we left tonight." He said
When he got to Sarah's Bucky and Brooke were walking up the front porch steps.
"Well if it isn't the newlyweds. Shouldn't you be on a plane?" Bucky said
"We don't leave till tonight, lets go see Izzy." Steve said
They all went inside, Sarah met them in the living room
"She's already gone" Sarah said
Bucky was already upstairs with Steve. When Bucky opened the door her room was a mess, mascara smears on her pillows. But that wasn't what broke his heart, it was the pink guitar he spent weeks saving up to get her. It was smashed, inside was the selfie ripped in half from that night.
"What the hell happened to my sister's room?" Steve said
Bucky closed the case, Sarah came in "She took losing dad hard." Sarah said
"Buck that's beyond repair" Steve said
"I can fix it." He said
"Buck Steve's right." Brooke said
"Damn it, I'll get it fixed." He said as he walked out with the guitar case.
Nat's gut feeling didn't go away, even on the plane.
"Steve something still isn't right." Nat said
"I know." He said
