I have successfully held off a looming writer's block and all it took was read couple chapters of my favorite tk book... ^_^

Hence, I hope I've done justice to the scene below.

Jungkook wanted to cling to the last of the hopes.

He was hopeful.

Even when Jin kept calling him every five minutes telling him to hurry up to the hospital.

He was still hopeful against all odds.

With a body as cold as ice and feet as heavy as stones Jungkook dashed through doors unmindful of where his next step landed. Too engrossed in denial to even acknowledge the dreaded feeling deep inside he sprinted down the hallway wanting to see Taehyung as soon as humanly possible.

But his feet stammered to a halt.

Standing a mere distance apart from his angel, all his hope withered into dust and he felt every second of helplessness slam into him brick by brick when he witnessed a wailing Jin embraced within a teary eyed Hoseok outside, Yoongi looking at them with pitiful eyes, doctors piling out of Taehyung's room with sombre faces.

Jungkook had hope and it shattered
the moment his eyes landed on Taehyung, on top of the bed without a life support for the first time in seven months.

How long had Jungkook waited to see his angel without the various mess of machines connected to his body.

When he did, it brought about Taehyung's last breath like the lone autumn leaf falling victim to the grim clutches of death.

And Jungkook could only stare numbed.

If he had been in his senses he would have noticed a sobbing Jimin lifelessly sinking to his knees, the always composed Namjoon silently shedding a strems of tears behind him.

He would have noticed Taehyung's parents consoling each other in a corner.

But Jungkook wasn't in his senses.

Otherwise he would have noticed he was awfully silent himself.

No emotions crossed his mind.

No beating heart bleeding itself to numb the pain.

No tears escaped his eyes that only saw the lifeless, pale body of his angel peacefully lying in an eternal sleep he would never wake up from.

Jungkook didn't wail, thrash around, scream his lungs out, threaten to wipe the life off of the face of earth his Taehyung didn't have any presence in.

His mind screamed yet the silence felt too loud.

His arms longed to hold his Taehyung, rock him to a peaceful sleep where Jungkook would be able to see his beautiful eyes flutter open in the morning, shelter his angel from the cold he might be feeling.

He longed to feel his heart thud against Taehyung's warmth.

Just longing and yearning to grasp within empty palms.

Silent steps took him closer towards his angel.

Soundless heart.

Emotionless eyes.
