32. Jungkook Is Aware

Jungkook's POV

I am just sitting here in my home office when a knock on the door interrupts me.

"Come in." I mutter, expecting to see Jinhee enter with a cup of coffee which I had asked her to bring me 10 minutes ago through the telephone in my home office.

I am still working when a pair of delicate, milky hands catches my attention. The pair of hands very tentatively place the saucer containing the coffee cup and retreat slowly in the process making me lift my gaze to look at the owner of hands.

Lisa.

"I am sorry if I disturbed you but Jinhee  ..is-is out to buy some groceries so I decided to come over and serve you. I hope I didn't offend y-you." She speaks softly as her lashes lower down.

"Oh, it's fine." I tell her and if I am not hallucinating, I just saw her release a breath of maybe ..relief?

She then proceeds to make her way out of the door when the urge to stop her to make her stay a little longer blooms in my chest.

What is this?

Focus Jungkook, focus.

She goes out and then I just stare at my ipad before picking it up. The screen lghts up as soon as I unlock it which displays the text messages exchanged between Lisa and Jackson.

I just stare at the exchange of messages between them.

And the conclusion that I have come to is that I have completely misunderstood Lisa. But I just need to confirm it. That is why I am going to Tokyo tomorrow.

Last week, the private investigator that I had hired a little less than a year ago, informed me that Jackson is going to Tokyo. Meanwhile, when I had visted my farms in Busan, I had asked him to hack Lisa's phone which he successfully did. I stumbled upon the messages saying that Lisa had been asked by Jackson to come to Tokyo to meet him.

I knew very well that Lisa will definitely go since she has been threatened by Jackson, atleast that is what I overheard Jimin and Lisa conversing that night among the farms.

Flashback (One month ago)

Jeon Farms

Third Person's POV

Jungkook was sitting at the dining table along with his hyungs while Lisa was helping Ms. Kim and Jinhee set up the table. It seemed that her mood had been improved by a much greater degree after meeting Jinhee and Ms. Kim.

"Bon appetite, Young Master." Ms. Kim smiled at Jungkook after placing the food on the long table. Everyone digged in  and they all chattered happily except for Lisa who just gave her opinion here and there and Jungkook just sat still but nobody knew there was a storm within him.

A while ago, Jungkook had called the private investigator to hack Lisa's phone. Jungkook had intially delayed this plan of his, thinking there might not be anything useful but then after listening to Lisa's conversation with Jackson on the day Haru visited them after their marraige, made him restless.

So he decided to keep tabs on both Lisa and Jackson. Although, there was nothing suspicious about Lisa but Jackson still tried to secretly meet his girlfriend. But fortunately for Jungkook, keeping tabs resulted him to finally uncover the truth- Lisa is not Jackson's girlfriend but that doesn't mean he can take a break, instead he increased his efforts to reach the bottom of this matter.
