Teacher: "Ayanami's absent again, huh? Oh well."

She seemed well yesterday.

Teacher: "Now, I'm going to give you back the test from the other day,"

I wonder what happened. 

"They can only survive in there... They're like me." What did she mean by that?

*Third Person's POV*

*NERV*

In a dimly lit room, at the center was a tank filled with an orange fluid. And Inside it was a lone girl, floating with her eyes shut until a another person makes their presence known.

Commander Ikari: "Rei.... It's time for a meal."

Rei: "Yes."

Rei: "Commander Ikari."

Commander Ikari: "What is it?"

Rei: "Do you find meals enjoyable?"

Commander Ikari: "Yes."

Rei: "And do you find pleasure in eating with someone else?"

Commander Ikari: "Yes."

 Rei: "And the act of cooking, that's enjoyable... Is that right?"

Commander Ikari: "Yes."

Rei: "...Commander Ikari,"

Rei: "Would you like to have a meal with the others sometime?"

Commander Ikari: "No, I don't have time for that..." looking up at Rei, noticing a strikingly familiar face to him.

"Gendo, take care of Y/n for me..." 

Commander Ikari: "...All right, I'll go."
