Pulling up to the hospital and you stop. 

"I can't do this Alex"

""What do you mean?"

"I love him"

"And he loves you"

"He can't love me. This isn't love, because he couldn't get hold of me he decided to get pissed as fuck and pass out"

"He's scared of losing you"

"We said that this was going to be fun, a secret so no one would find out and yes I have fallen in love with him and I can't tell him but am I now going to be scared that if I don't message him that he is going to do this again?"

"He's messed up Mercedes, he needs to learn to be with someone again"

"This isn't going to work"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm sorry Alex I can't do this, tell him i'm sorry" you walk away from him, he calls after you but you continue walking and sobbing to yourself. You sit down on a bench thinking what the hell you should do, it's a lot of work to be with this man. what do you do?

ROBERT'S POV

"Your lucky Mr Downey that it's not a lot more serious, drinking that much alcohol is never a good idea" 

"I know, can I go home now?"

"Not yet, we are waiting on another test and then you will be free to go"

"Thanks" The doctor walks out of the room and you lay your head back on the bed

"Hey Buddy" Alex walks through the door

"I'm so sorry man"

"What the fuck happened man?"

"She wasn't responding to me man and then the voices"

"Rob, it's been so long since"

"I Know but I can't lose her Al, I'm in love with her"

"Rob it's only been like what 9-10 weeks since you met the girl"

"It doesn't matter how long it's been Al, iv'e never felt like this before not even with Carol"

"You don't know what your saying"

"Yes I do Al, why the hell are you not getting me"

"Because man she does-"

"Robbie"  she stands in the doorway her eyes red and bloodshot 

"Mercy"

"I hate you so much for doing this"

"I'm sorry I didn't know"

"I heard what you said to Alex"

"You did?" 

"Yeah and the reason Alex isn't encouraging us is because I just ran away"

"Ran away?"

"Running away from whatever this is between us"

"Please don't run away"

"I'm not running away anymore, in fact I found the solution"

"What ?"

"I'm dropping your class"

"No"

"Yes I am going to be joining Professor Grayson's class, she is almost as good as you"

"Why? Babe you took my class for a reason, it's the highest mark"

"Rob, i'm in love with you and I want to be with you properly and if this is the only way to do it then so be it"

Alex fake coughs "Sorry to burst the bubble here but Rob would still lose his job, it's a sackable offence to sleep with a student"

"Then i'm stuck I don't know what to do"

"Baby, we carry on as we were but maybe this time if your going to be spending the day with your phone off with Bella, maybe you could text me just to let me know"

"I didn't realise it would affect you like this"

"I'm a mess Merce and I know I can trust you it's just I have been hurt before and I really didn't want it happening again"

"It's not going to happen, i'm not your ex wife I am the one who loves you right now and only you Rob since the moment my eyes saw you I was hooked on you"

"We can make it work"

"Of course we can. I love you" you lay down next to him in the hospital bed, he wraps his arms around you and kisses your head.

"I'm going to leave you guys to it" 

"Thank you so much Alex and again man I am so sorry"

"Don't ever do that shit again, dinner is on you when your out of here and I want to go to that fancy place"

"Savoy"

"That's the one"

"Deal, double date and it's on me"

"Good man, see you later" Alex walks out the door

"Savoy! I am so there"

"You like it there?"

"Iv'e never been there. I am obsessed with Gordon Ramsay though"

"I don't think he will be there babe but it's his restaurant and it's on me"

"I can't wait"

"You don't have to stay here with me you know"

"I know I don't have too. I want too" 

You wrap your arms around her "I'm staying until they let you go"

"I meant what I said about you Merce"

"I know you did and honestly Rob I feel the same, I love you and I do want to be with you"

"What if I quit?"

"Then you would be miserable"

"Okay that is true"

The doctor's finally get all there tests and you were allowed to leave the hospital. 

When you arrive back at the house Mercedes forces you into bed, she starts to tidy up the mess that you had made and the guilt that surrounded you was huge,

"Babe, please you don't have to clean up"

"It's fine, I like to clean anyways"

"Your right at home here"

"Yeah I am, I love it here and I love being with you here"

"Move in then"

"What?"

"Move in with me"

"Babe you live Alex"

"So"

"So? I'm not living with you and Alex, besides I have Bella to think about. She wouldn't be able to keep the flat all by herself"

"Then i'll by the flat"

"No Rob, we haven't been together that long. We can't i'm sorry"

"But we love each other"

"I do love you I really do, but I can't live with you, this relationship has to be kept a secret and this isn't the way to do it"

"Okay your right, i'm sorry. i'm sorry"

"Don't be sorry, right I want you to get some sleep babe, i'm going to get some food in and make us something"

"Take my car"

"Really?"

"Yeah you have licence right?"

"Yeah I just can afford a car, but i will be happy to drive yours" she squeals as she picks up your car keys "Be back soon"

You watch her wonder off out the door and you wrap the blanket around you and drift off into a nice sleep.
