I like to write about you.

I think it's because I'm the only one who knows you.

Maybe I'm not, and you're just not telling me,

But I don't mind.

Your voice is one of your best traits.

(Actually, no. Not really. They all are.)

But my favorite?

Well...

My favorite thing about you

Is that you're not afraid to be a kid.

Everyone chose to grow up in middle school,

But you and me? We never did.

Too bad we aren't neighbors,

Or I'd play soccer with you.

Perhaps some day I'll come over,

And we can be kids for a bit together.

Hey Parker?

Can I ask you something strange?

Would you mind walking past your house?

Cause I really miss walking home.

It was one of the best parts of having siblings-

You could walk home safely in a pair.

You don't have to if you don't want,

But I promise it wouldn't suck.

Anyways, can we hang out sometime?

We could probably do homework faster,

Since I work better with help.

(Even if I hate asking for it)

And then we could try to play soccer

In my could-be-bigger backyard.

Just so you know,

I do in fact think you're cute.

I'm glad you didn't say that boys can't be pretty,

Because I was afraid to tell you that.

Thanks for listening to everything I have to say,

And telling me your favorite song.

I love that that's your favorite,

And the reason why just made it better.

Cause it means that you're not like me,

And you have something to fall back on.

Thanks for being my friend,

And now the poem's over.

You really are my favorite,

And you're my favorite star.
