Maybe there's a reason,
Behind why I love the rain,
Maybe it's because it shows,
Things never stay the same.
Maybe it's because it shows,
You can't turn back around,
Because all those little raindrops,
Won't go back up to their clouds.
Maybe it's because the sound,
Reminds me of my heart,
Still beating like thunder in my ears,
After being torn apart.
Maybe it's because it looks like tears,
Saying, "It's okay to be sad.",
That I can recognise all the pain,
But for the love, be glad.
Maybe because it makes me think,
If I can live through this storm,
I can surely face the tornado,
Of to this world which I conform.
Maybe it because it only needs,
A tiny light,
To make a rainbow in the sky,
Or beautify the night.
Maybe it's because it makes,
Things look more pretty than before,
And gives me hope to not give up,
And hold on for a-little more.
