If I said I liked your eyes,
Would you smile?
If I said I liked your voice,
Would you smile?
If I told you your hair was fluffy,
Would you laugh?
Would you smile if I said a bad joke,
Or just stare at me?
I'd love to hear you laugh, by the way.
To hear you talk for hours.
You have the kind of voice perfect for reading.
It's very pretty.
Would this poem make you smile
If I shared it with you? Or maybe
You'd look away, embarrassed a loser found you cool?
In case you can't tell, I like you.
We should be friends; it'd be really fun.
I'd tell jokes and stories-
Would you smile then- Or I could shoo.
But please just remember the boy
Who wanted to be friends with you.
