You walk into regulus's room and hear Sirius talking to him
"I hope in the future I can actually go take you out on a walk as myself, but right now I can't and I'm so sorry sweetie I love you so much and wish life was different." Sirius says as you hear him crying and walk in
You then walk over to him and he jumps but then calms down when he sees you
"You heard me didn't you." Sirius says and you nod and he sighs he didn't want you hearing that, he only wanted regulus to know this and hear it
"Yeah, but don't worry everything will work out in the end I promise." You say and Sirius kisses you and you kiss him back
Sirius then looked back down at regulus who was asleep in his crib, so peaceful so unaware of what his father has to go through, but he's so loved by you both and always will be
*I am so sorry regulus I wish life was better so you could say Sirius black is my dad, and people not look at you badly or wonder how you even exist, and then get y/n in trouble for saying it* Sirius thinks as he wanted to cry, he loved regulus so much but he's worried for the future
What if Sirius never gets free? He has to live his life hiding forever
His kids never understanding why daddy has to pretend to be a dog
"I can't stay hiding forever, i need to be a dad and experiencing everything as me not a dog, I really can't handle this." Sirius says and you hug him tightly as he starts crying
"We'll figure it out together Sirius." You say and Sirius nods as he looks over at regulus who was fast asleep
*No matter what I'll protect regulus and y/n even if it costs me my life*
