Seungmin gasped when the big white wolf immediately stood up but hit his head on the roots above him.
"Careful love, crawl a bit forward and I'll tell you once you can sit up, okay?"
Okay.
Hyunjin carefully moved forward, keeping his head low in fear of hurting himself again and only stood up when the younger told him to.
The brunette's heart ached when he noticed all the wounds on his mate's leg that were barely treated, some were still bleeding and soaking the beautiful white fur with blood.
"What happened to your legs?"
It was only when Seungmin walked a step closer, Hyunjin picked up on the faint scent of sweet milk beside the toffee scent he loved so much.
Sangwoo was here too.
Minnie, don't.
But the younger was already kneeling down in front of him, his hands reaching out to cup the wolf's face.
He gently stroked over the soft fur and pressed a soft kiss right between the older's fluffy ears making the alpha purr.
Why are you here?
"Because I belong to you."
Hyunjin suddenly shifted so he was also sitting in front of his mate now in his human form, the omega's hands still cupping his cheeks and caressing them gently with his thumb.
"Minnie, I-"
"No, it's okay pup. I know you're scared and that's okay. I understand.
Everything's changing so suddenly and you're thinking you won't be enough?
You'll just be a burden to me and Sangie?"
The older nodded as the first tears threatened to fall.
"But you are enough Jinnie, you'll always be enough for me.
You are never a burden to me because I love you and I always will.
I don't care if you can't see, I wouldn't care if you couldn't walk or speak.
I just need you by my side, I just want you, my love. And Sangie wants to grow up with his daddy by his side too, right pup?"
The tiny baby just purred quietly, making Seungmin smile.
"Jinnie, you're not alone. I'm here right beside you and will help you on every step of our journey, no matter what.
I'm here and I'll lead you on the right path so don't be scared, I will never let you fall.
And you're a daddy now, our son needs you as much as he needs me.
He just wants your love."
The omega leaned forward to press a soft peck on his mate's lips and continued to caress the older's cheeks when Hyunjin jumped a bit at the sudden surprising touch.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Minnie, Sangie, I-"
"Shh"
A heartbreaking sob escaped the alpha when he felt Seungmin's arms around his waist, pulling him close into the warm embrace he loved so much.
The brunette began to run his fingers through the long white hair strands as his mate cried into his shoulder and pressed his face more against the younger's neck to breathe in the sweet toffee scent.
Only when tiny Sangie whimpered quietly because he wanted attention as well, they parted a bit from their hug.
Hyunjin's arms were still around Seungmin's waist but the omega gently took their squirmy little boy out of the carrier and kissed his nose.
"What do you want pup, hm? You want daddy to hold you?"
"Minnie, don't. I'll just hurt him-"
"No love, you won't. I'm here, I'll guide you and make sure you're both comfortable."
The younger carefully placed Sangwoo in his daddy's arms and made sure that the baby's head was resting on Hyunjin's shoulder and that the blonde was also holding correctly onto his tiny son.
"There you go, love."
And Seungmin couldn't help but tear up with a wide smile on his face seeing his beloved mate holding their little boy close and rocking him gently.
Sangwoo was not making a sound at all, only purring quietly as his eyes got heavier just like his small head on his daddy's shoulder.
Hyunjin was also smiling softly, his heart felt so warm and tingly holding onto his tiny son and breathing in his sweet baby scent.
The little pup looked so small in his daddy's big hands plus the way he literally melted in his father's embrace, sleeping so comfortably.
It was just too cute to watch.
"Minnie, I-"
"Shh Jinnie, he's sleeping."
"He is?"
"Yeah."
And Seungmin would never forget the smile on Hyunjin's face after he heard that and kissed his son's head for the first time.
